My wife, myself, our 3-year-old black lab and my mother-in-law just spent 2 weeks at this property and had a wonderful time. This was our second time renting this property (2 years ago) and they've made valuable upgrades since then. They installed a mini split in the living room which worked nicely to keep the house cool on warmer days. And conversely, when it was cool at night, the fireplace was working this time, and we were able to have a fire. They installed sturdy metal, retractable stairs to the loft area and improved the landscape, specifically the driveway area. Having stayed two years earlier, we definitely appreciated the upgrades. We love this house. It's perfect for us. We spent a lot of time on the large screened in porch facing the lake to have coffee in the morning, to puzzle and to eat dinner. It's a partial view of the lake through the trees, so if you are looking for full view this isn't the house for you, but it totally works for us. There is no lake access on the property, which the owner states in the description, but we have family close by who does so that wasn't an issue for us. Gabe, the owner, was great at staying in contact and giving us the info we needed, although we didn't have to reach out to him once for any issues. We used the grill and front deck a lot to cook dinner and the grill is solid. There is a side yard for our dog to run and fetch his ball so that was perfect for us. We love this house and look forward to returning every year.

Hi Mandy, thanks for coming back, and so glad you noticed and enjoyed the improvements! Looking forward to you coming back again!
The cabin is set deep in the woods. If you want to get away this is the place to go. It’s about a 10 min drive into the town which has some nice shops. A path to the lake would have been a plus since it’s right there. Over all, a cozy place to stay and unplug.
Cabin was really cute. We were staying for a wedding nearby. Not a great pic for that as there’s not a lot of mirrors for a family to get ready at the same time. Also no water views (posting to me was a little misleading on that). If you’re going for the cabin in the woods vibe though it’s perfect.
Charming and funky cottage that has been made spotless and well stocked and set up for comfortable rentals. Especially summer. The wraparound green porch is wonderful. The pull -down stair to the cute loft is not for everyone, but it works for us.
Only thing is that the lake access should be a little more clearly described as it isn’t clear what’s private and what a right of way
Quiet, peaceful spot, great porch! The downstairs beds are comfortable. The stairs to the loft are retractable, and can be a bit tricky. A picture showing this access would be helpful to know in advance of planning for who would be sleeping in the loft.
Hello my name is Gabe DiSaverio, I'm a superhost on Air BNB and have multiple properties in Maine and Florida on both VRBO and Air BNB. My wife and I have owned this camp for almost 15years and would love to share it with you.
Why they chose this property
We own and run a wedding venue 5minutes away, which is a business we started in 2013 on a family property. We have a little ecosystem of properties that we rent to both wedding guests and the general public.
What makes this property unique
Near the Lake, near the mountains, near a wonderful downtown, yet completely tucked away and private.
