We had a wonderful stay at the Tahoe Bear Chalet! The hosts have thought of every detail to make sure their guests have everything they need for a relaxing, comfortable, restorative stay--from the incredibly comprehensive guidebook, how-to videos and other resources to the charming decor and thoughtfully chosen amenities. Thank you for a great trip!

Fantastic stay

For our first stay in a Vrbo, this property set a high bar. The property was extremely well decorated and maintained. The host was responsive and very friendly. I never felt neglected or inconvenienced during my stay. If the goal is home away from home, it nails it with flying colors.

Less than ideal

It’s disappointing that the host told us the thermostat would be set at 55 degrees. not a very welcoming experience. The check in time was 4 pm but we couldn’t get in until 5pm due to the delay of the cleaning crew. The house is pretty basic and the pictures make it look a lot nicer. The sofa was not very comfortable.
