It was great and cozy get away to stay at while visiting the hot springs in the area. The kids loved it and the hosts are kind and wonderful. We will totally consider renting here on any return trips to the area.
Our stay was wonderful. The location is perfect for riding the Jackson River Trail , our hosts Gary and Pam were so welcoming, the cottage is really comfortable and so well stocked with everything you might need. We will definitely return to this wonderful spot.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. We are looking forward for your next visit.
We enjoyed our stay. The home was clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. They even went out of their way to provide personal touches to make our stay even better. Would definitely highly recommend this listing!
We loved the deck. We sat out there for dinner and saw lots of deer and turkeys. The home was clean and tidy. The hosts were very friendly and attentive to our needs.
My daughter and I chose this rental over others due to its location near the hiking trails and river. Pam and Gary were excellent hosts and were very accomidating. The views of the mountains from the back porch were breathtaking. The house was well equipped and comfortable for all our needs. We would love to come back in the fall to see the foliage, I'll bet it is gorgeous!

Thank you! We hope that you will return, possibly for a longer stay. You was so nice and considerate. Take care!
3 friends and I came for a quiet getaway for Labor Day Weekend, and our stay was nothing short of fantastic. Gary and Pam both came to greet us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed/wanted. They shared their personal phone numbers, and helped us greatly when we were in a pickle with navigating to a lake area to swim!! The house was extremely cozy, had ample kitchenware/appliances, the neighbors were friendly, and the backyard view was breathtaking. It was only a short walk to the river and short drive to the lake. We can't wait to stay here again some day.

Thank you for the feedback. You was so sweet. When we meet you it felt like you belonged here. We would look forward to hosting you again.
Everything was perfect. I've never seen a VRBO rental that was so thoughtfully and completely appointed. There was seemingly no detail, no matter how small, that escaped Gary and Pamela's attention. For example, they supplied umbrellas and a first aid kit (not that we needed it). We regularly rent via VRBO and I can say without exaggeration, I've never seen hosts that sought to think of everything a guest might need and still seek feedback on how to improve further! Great experience!

Hey Mark! Thank you so much for your feedback. Gary and I strive to give our guests the best stay possible. We hope that you all will come back to our Country Haven!
Take care,
Gary and Pam
We only stayed one night but the home served us well. We hiked and bike, so home's proximity to Jackson River Scenic Trail and Lake Moomaw was very convenient. House was a modest ranch style. Kitchen was well stocked. Water smelled of sulfur, but owners said it had been tested and was deemed potable. Setting of home was rural and pretty, ensuring lovely views from the outside deck and gazebo.

We have our own well since public water isn't available. The water has been tested.
The test showed positive for iron, which is safe. This is common for this rural area.
Great location and home. Host(s) are the best. We got in a kayak trip several bike rides -dip and swim in the local lake. Lots of wildlife. Saw a baby deer, a fox some turkeys an eagle. Deer like crazy at the property. Location is the best. Out in the country near all kinds of fun activities. Very clean and maintained home. Can’t say enough good things. We plan on going back in a month or so. Got to try fly fishing!!!Had so much fun that we forgot to do pictures!! So just a few.

We are so glad yall enjoyed your visit! We look forward to seeing you again! Thank you very much for leaving our cottage so tidy. We enjoyed you sharing your time on the porch with us! Take care! Pam and Gary
My friends and I were looking for a place where we could meet halfway (I live in NC and they live in PA) for a quick girls getaway. We chose Pam & Gary’s country cottage and we picked right. The views were absolutely beautiful. We walked the gorgeous trail that was nearby and visited the Falling Springs Waterfalls… which I have to say was majestic.
Pam and Gary were the perfect hosts. Made us feel so welcomed and suggested things to do in the area and places to eat. I can’t say enough kind things about our hosts. The kindest people.
The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Definitely will stay again.

Thank you for the kind words. We really enjoyed hosting you and your friends. We look forward to hosting yall again. After all, one of you did win a deposit for your next visit. Lol. Stay safe 🙏
The house is very clean and well stocked. Fully equipped kitchen, extra pillows, towels, sheets, etc. First aid kit, & hairdryer. Grill is charcoal (thank goodness). The view was great. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. These hosts really care about their guests and home. They live next door and are very quick to respond and friendly 🙂 We stayed around the 4th of July and were able to watch fireworks from the deck. Saw several deer each day along with turkey and rabbits. Overall a very pleasant trip!

Danielle, we hope that y’all can return again soon. I bet the trout that was caught was delicious! I would have loved to see him catching them. We really appreciate the house being left so nice. We also enjoyed meeting and talking to your family. Be careful with those alligators! 😬
Take care,
Pam & Gary
