The kitchen is huge and was stocked so we could cook meals and enjoy the space. The house is nicely decorated and the outside shower on a hot day was a bonus! Communication for check in/out was easy . We will stay here again!

Peaceful Getaway

Very relaxing space with amazing views. A nice quiet place to unwind yet close to everything. Kitchen had everything you needed and beds were comfy. We would come back.

Nice cottage-style home in lovely location

Enjoyed our stay here. House was very clean & nicely decorated. Appliances are new & in good working order. Beds & other furniture are comfortable. Best part was watching herons, egrets & other birds in marsh from back porch. In quiet neighborhood with beautiful tree-lined streets.

Nice place

This was a very nice, clean place to stay. The pictures are accurate and to be honest it was a little bigger than I thought it was going to be. We went in March 2025 and there was really no water in the back so that was the only negative, but nothing the company could do just time of year I suppose.

Great location

Our stay was good and relaxing location was good the issues we had was dirty towels no iron no broom it was a smell at door that was bad every time you go in and out the house the shower didn’t drain gas to kill one roach but other than that the manager brought the items we needed stayed in touch the view was amazing from back porch but you can’t fish or do anything it’s marsh area

Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed the location of this cottage - while we were there, there was not as much water as you see in the photo, but that was ok with us - just a peaceful cottage to stay in. Great location - quick drive in to Savannah, Tybee Island and not too far from a Hilton Head. My only negative thought was a bit of local info available when we got there would have been nice - such as best place for groceries, not knowing the area at all we first went to WalMart because we are used to being able to get everything there - not on Wilmington Island. The representatives were responsive to two things we had questions about and we were thankful for that.

Reviewer Comments: The Location: It worked out great , after spending the day in downtown Savannah then returning back to the rental for a peaceful evening was the best.The rental interior is so tastefully well designed, it had everything in the kitchen that I needed to make our meals. And the grocery store was within 4 miles .If you want my honest opinion, I was very happy and satisfied with this rental .I was hesitant about one of the reviews I had read about the beds being so hard . The owners must have done something about it.The beds were perfect not too hard not too soft, just right for us.I can only hope in the days to come I can find the time to return.

Lovely View, Not a Lovely Smell

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed the location of this property but had concerns from the moment we stepped inside. The home smelled very musty (odor that results from dampness, mold, or mildew). After searching everywhere for the source of the odor, I emailed Lucky Vacation Rentals August 19th at 7:24pm. They responded the next morning. "Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take concerns about odors and potential leaks very seriously. I have notified our maintenance team about the water spot you mentioned, and we will have someone investigate as soon as possible to ensure there is no active leak and to address any issues related to the dampness smell." We gave permission for them to enter the property but never heard back. The odor persisted during our entire stay. This definitely left a negative impression and upsets me that we spent that much money to have a less than ideal stay. The listing mentions wading but that is not really possible. Cottage is located on an inland waterway where the tide schedule plays into how close the water is to the home. The marsh is too boggy to wade in at any time without actual waders. Outdoor shower is a cool concept but lacks sufficient water pressure to make the experience enjoyable.

Perfect!

My teenage daughter and I just finished a week here. It was perfect for our needs. I brought her to SCAD each day for a week of classes, while I worked remote with the beautiful view of the marsh. Even from here the twice a day 25 minute commute and back was easy with minimal traffic. Such a nice city, surrounding area, and atmosphere. Wilmington island was quiet and peaceful with easy to get to necessities close by. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures and I thoroughly enjoyed the porch every day to relax in the evenings. Only one night when the air was still did I encounter a few bugs. I did notice the slight mildewy? type smell in the living room a few days maybe it was more humid? But I even still worked all day long in this room without it overly bothering me. The mattresses were a little hard as others mentioned. Those were the only slight negatives. The big, bright, and well equipped kitchen met all our needs. It was great to have the two bathrooms and two showers and I used the outdoor shower all week, so fun! Everything was modern and clean. Best of all though was still the porch, view, and open sky. If I end up back this way I would absolutely stay here again. Loved it!

Beautiful home with beautiful view...but stinky

We witnessed an amazing rainbow over the marsh. There was some dirty silverware in the drawer but the worst thing about this rental was the smell! As soon as you walk up to the front door there is a dog poop smell and then inside the home is the smell of cat urine. We did witness a racoon in front of the home early one morning. Possibly a family of racoons living under the house?? The urine smell seemed to get worse the longer we were there. We did not notify the management due to I don't think they could do anything about it. There were several air fresheners in the home (to no avail), so I believe the management was well aware of the smell. We did see that someone else talked about a smell in their review.

The inside is very clean and updated and the outdoor shower is a nice option. Only negatives are the king bed mattress is so hard that a good night of rest was nearly impossible and there is a bit of an odd smell especially around the front door. Would definitely stay again if a new mattress was installed. We had a minor issue with wasps in the outdoor shower and it was addressed by management very quickly which was appreciated.
