Casa Dora is the perfect cozy escape for couples or small families. Located three miles from Wimberley Square in a rural residential neighborhood, Casa Dora accommodates up to four guests and offers two fabulous river parks and a (seasonal) community pool for guests to enjoy. This curated casa offers luxury with all the accommodations travelers look for in a comfortable and cozy getaway. Stylish Texas décor thoughtfully collected and lovely furnishings create a unique, fun, and casual setting.

Please drive slowly around the neighborhood. There are lots of deer and other `critters` roaming about!

The best part of the cabin was the AC, it was amazing nice and cold. The bed in the main room bed was so comfortable. Loved the coffee bar, the variety of coffee pods was nice. I do have to say this is one of the best rental properties we have stayed at. Oh and the deer was nice to see through out the day. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because there was spiders webs in several places, I am terrified of spiders. I usually look at the cleaning fee because that usually means its really clean or not so clean. This one I was expecting to be really clean.

Our cleaning crew cleans the cabin to our standards after each guest; however, it is possible that spiders can come in during the interim and spin webs. High Mesa

This house was perfect. It was such a joy to walk into. The kitchen was well equipped, the decor was so inviting, the gazebo was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee. We hope to return in the future.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed for over two weeks in March 2024. The home was clean and well appointed. Very comfortable with a nice front porch we had coffee on most mornings. The internet was amazing so we could do our work and Teams calls with no issues. The river is just a 10 minute walk from the home and gorgeous. The neighborhood is a very quiet family setting....Lots of deer come right up to the home. Will hopefully be back next year!!!

"We had a wonderful stay! The place was spotless, super cozy, and looked just like the photos. The host was very fast to reply. The host was very understanding of us arrive around or after midnight due to my husband being a blue collar worker. When we arrived the front porch light was on and some lamps which made us getting there late much easier to navigate. Would love to stay here again!"

Casa Dora was a great place for our family to have a getaway. It was clean and quite possibly the best stocked place we have ever stayed in. So many thoughtful things made our stay easy and we weren't back and forth to the store. The beds are comfy, everything works great. We enjoyed watching wildlife under the covered gazebo. We would come back to this gem!

I'm a native Texan and have lived most of my life in Houston, Texas. I'm a Texas Aggie; however, I'm probably the only Aggie who doesn't follow football! I do love to watch the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band, though.

The best part of hosting is that I love connecting with people and sharing our unique stories. I love to make people feel comfortable and enjoy their surroundings. My passion is fixing up old houses that have a history and character, and if I won the lottery I'd buy as many as I could and renovate them for vacation rentals!

Why they chose this property

I chose Cedar Oak Mesa because it has a nice communal feel, and the Blanco River parks are a nice asset. It's a little funky (in a good way), out-of-the-way hidden treasure!

What makes this property unique

Casa Dora is a labor of love - I named it after my favorite cat, Dora the Explorer (shhh...don't tell my other cats!). I enjoyed every minute of working on it and getting ready for guests, and I hope my guests can feel the warmth and love I've put into my place.
