The place is great..only drawback was the overwhelming seaweed accumulation, which is common for the time we were there, so we couldn't get in the ocean in the property beachfront area. The workers did work all day to do their best.

Great view- good condo..

We are regulars in Playa Turquesa and we love the view from this condo - just over the pool and can see the beach. Compared to other condos that we have stayed in this one has the basics covered... we had an issue with the master toilet but the repairman came quickly after reporting. We never saw or spoke with the property manager. The property of Playa has seen several improvements since last year when we visited.

Triple A all the way!!

This condo was 100% as pictured and spotless. Everything worked perfectly. Carla, the on site person who handled our check in and check out spoke perfect English and could not have been nicer or more efficient. Pick up (which we arranged with Playa Turquese) at the airport went very smoothly and we were at the complex in an easy 20 minute ride. The property is extremely well maintained and well guarded. The beach was superb with fine white sand that somehow never felt hot. Within a thirty second walk from the reception area was a very well stocked mini market and within a one minute walk their were 4 or 5 places to eat, all at VERY reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back.

Everything you need is a few steps away. Unit D303 has a beautiful view of the grounds and the beach from the windows and the huge balcony. The grounds and the unit were spotless. This unit is listed as having a queen bed but it’s actually a king bed which was a nice surprise. It’s a safe area. The beach bar was also a great asset. Already booked another stay for next year!

Relaxing get away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very relaxing over all stay. Playa Turquesa is a secure complex with two beautiful full-size pools and two child pools. The complex is right on the beach and close to six or seven good restaurants. One of our favorites was an Indian food (India Aroma and Dalia's Cafe & Bakery for capuchinos & fresh baked pastery's). On the downside, the beach and Sagassum seaweed infestation was bad. Though it was raked and removed at least 4-5 times daily, the water was brown, un-swimmable, with a strong sulfur smell. This is affecting all of the Caribbean, Mexico, Costa Rico, Belize etc., and is going to have a major negative economic impact. Good news is, Playa Turquesa's pools were great.The rental unit has a direct view of the beach, and the Caribbean. The unit was clean and well stocked with kitchen ware, towels and sheets. It has a king size bed and a fold out couch for additional guest. It has dual zone AC units, so at night we just closed the bedroom door and only used the AC for that room. That also keeps the cost down for electricity use. The unit could use a refresh on some minor things like newer wi-fi, shower rods and faucets. But overall, it was fine. And being located in the "D" building, it had constant gentle breezes day and night. We didn't use the BBQ grill, but it has one. For safety, I also wish it had an "electronic" front door lock vs. a key (which anyone could replicate).The "Host" management company (Go Punta Cana Vacations) and their technicians were excellent! Great communicators and responded to any of our needs within an hour. I wish all hosts were as responsive as they were. 5 stars for the host management staff!

There are groceries nearby and great restaurants with live music everywhere. Playa Turquesa is wonderful. Now for the unit. D303 is in a great location and has a beautiful view, and the kitchen is well equipped. Cons of this unit is that is in need of updating. The bed and pillows need replacing first off. They are very uncomfortable. We stayed for 10 days and had horrible sleep. I asked for an extra blanket and 2 different pillows but was told that the owners furnish the condo and they don’t have anything extra. The bed had a quilt and a throw blanket on the couch. No other blankets. It also needs a dresser to put your clothes into. The decorative table in the bedroom is useless. There needs to be a water jug holder. The noisy battery powered spout provided is terrible. If these issues were addressed then we’d stay in this unit again. Otherwise no. There are other units that are much better for the same price or better.

Christmas Vacation

It was mostly well equiped, the security at the complex was good, cleanliness of condo and the grounds was fairly good. We loved the large balcony with BBQ and lounge chairs- the view was great! We enjoyed the little oceanside bar/ restaurant on the Playa Turquesa grounds- great food, drinks, and staff! We also ate at Citrus and the food was great there too. The small grocery stores nearby were good to get the basics, but fruits and vegetables and meats were limited, so a cab ride to get groceries at a bigger supermarket would be worth it! The complex was a bit noisy- music from neighbouring resorts, other guests on balconies etc. You must be sure to check in at the front desk of the Playa Turquesa complex to get a wrist band, otherwise you will have problems entering the complex at the gate. We were not informed of this from Go Punta Cana staff so it took us a day or two to figure this out! Some suggestions to improve the condo: Supplies: BBQ cleaning brush, kettle, lighter for lighting the stove, emergency flashlight or candle in case of power outages, better broom and dustpan, tissues, toilet paper Cleaning: the sofa could use a steam clean and the grout in the bathroom could use a good scub. Items that need fixing: the toilet in the second bath was continually running, the hot water was hit or miss- pehaps the hot water tank should be checked, a hinge on a kitchen cupboard needed to be fixed. All of theese items were referred to Go Punta Cana and they were going to have them fixed before their next guests arrived! Overall we were happy with our vacation rental!

Amazing Playa Turquesa!

My wife and I had a restful and amazing three nights stay at Playa Turquesa beach club. The checkin process was easy and everything - restaurants and entertainment - was within less than 10 minutes walk from the condo. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Another lovely vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 4th time we have rented this condo and we thoroughly enjoyed our 8 week stay here . The rental process was straightforward, check in and check out were again smooth. The rental agent, GPREC are available and respond promptly if there is a problem. The condo is exactly as pictured, it is clean, and all basic needs are met. The bed is new and comfortable and ample bedding and towels are supplied. The complex itself is well maintained. There is no need to rent a car as there are multiple restaurants and shops right outside the complex and the local bus stops right out front for more extensive shopping at 3 malls with large supermarkets. We will be renting again in 2020.
