About the host
Hosted by Stephen and Sandy Smith
We are a family that enjoys trips to the mountains and also the beach. We looked for years until we found the Ridgeview property. It is everything that we were looking for: a huge space, a creek, a pond, a beautiful mountain view, a mountain of our own to climb and enjoy, a comfortable house (a house and a guest house in this case), with character and a nice fireplace. And we wanted to be able to reach it with ease rather than having to drive miles from the conveniences of town. We also wanted to drive a normal vehicle rather than a four-wheel drive. Since purchasing the property in mid-2023, we have been driving to and from Ridgeview in a mini-van...with ease. The paved road to Hwy-105 is somewhat steep, but again, four wheel drive is definitely not needed. All the owners and guests of Echota on the Summit and Echota on the Ridge use it daily to come and go, just like us. But unlike those individuals, however, we are not jammed into a condo complex alongside dozens of other units. We drive onto a 43 acre estate.
