Relax & unwind where mother nature meets modern nature at a Little Green Cottage. Each space is thoughtfully designed for a comfortable & luxurious stay. Enjoy an open layout w/ vaulted ceilings & natural earth-tone features, a full functioning kitchen & dining area, bedrooms w/ king size beds that each come with their own attached bathroom and a large screen porch w/ lounging, dining & a view that will take your breath away. All the fun, recreational activities are right outside your door! *Note* As of 8/19/25 there is no longer a ladder leading up to the loft. There is a staircase for easier accessibility.

We did not want to leave!

This was the perfect place for us to stay. The host was responsive and kind. The property was beautiful and well thought out. There were games and activities for the family and it had everything we needed to prepare meals. I look forward to visiting again.

Adorable house in a beautiful location

The house is so cute and is perfect for a few couples or a family. Beautiful screened porch to enjoy the lovely views. Very convenient location if you are in the area for an event at The Caverns. Ansley was extremely quick to respond to any questions we had prior and during our stay. Thanks so much!

A memorable Mother's Day weekend

The screen room and the fire-pit area put us in the front row of lakeside tranquility. Lots of comfy seating areas inside and out. The baths & kitchen have those little extras. Including a soaker tub! Very responsive host when we had questions. Firewood provided. Bring fire starter or your hatchet to make kindling.

Little Green Cottage was beautiful, situated on the reservoir, equipped with all the essentials, and clean. We especially enjoyed taking the canoes on the water in the mornings and playing ping pong on the porch. The showers were warm with great pressure and the beds were very comfortable (soft). We appreciated the ceiling fans in the bedrooms. To be noted, bring eye masks to sleep in because the bedrooms do not have curtains and it was super bright come 6a. The outdoor tub was unusable due to dirt/spiders/webbing/leaves/sitting water/mildew, a huge disappointment as we were really looking forward to soaking under the stars. When we brought it to the attention of the owner, she advised us to spray it out with the outdoor shower head. Unfortunately, it needed a full scrub and sanitize, and we did not come equipped with the supplies to do it ourselves, nor should we have to. This was our vacation after all, and it was listed as a property amenity. Additionally, the outdoor fans were not functional. We asked for new batteries for the remotes, but were told to turn on the switch from the kitchen?? That was not the issue. The remotes were dead. Despite those setbacks, we enjoyed our time in Tracy City. Hiking to see Sycamore Falls was absolutely beautiful and only a mile from the cabin. Mountain Goat Market in Monteagle is a MUST! Delicious food, all made from scratch. Driving into Nashville took a little over an hour and a half, and was worth the journey for a day on Broadway.

Pictures do not do this place justice- it is incredible! So many beautiful and thoughtful details like firewood ready for a fire, really soft beds, fresh robes in the closets, great smelling toiletries, coffee and tea there, great games and books. Its location right on the water makes it so special and peaceful.

Little Green Cottage is located in a sweet tiny home community called The Retreat at Waters Edge. There are pavilions and firepits, kayaks and fishing as well as a future neighborhood pool and walking trails all centered around a 95 acre calm water lake. Little Green Cottage is lakefront and has one of the best views of Tracy City's sunsets! Enjoy walking around a community that has unique homes, wildlife and water views as well as being conveniently located to Tennessee's best hiking and bluff views!
