It was quiet and comfortable. Parking was a little difficult we had a truck but managed. Walking distance to good restaurants and entertainment. Easy to and from all other venues we went to. Very pleasant stay.

Mixed feelings
The loft was nice enough, as well as the pool area, but I have mixed feelings about the location and the rest of the building. The building smelled, and the surrounding area was pretty run down. Best I can say about it is proximity to the city museum and Washington St restaurants.
But that's not something the owner can necessarily control.
Check in was a little complicated, the owner was hard to get a hold of. Biggest feedback was there were limited selection of dishes and no extra sheets or blankets. But we made do and enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Communication, location
Eh
The entire place smells like marijuana. The halls, the elevator, the apartment. The halls definitely need some TLC. Scrapes and holes in the walls up and down the hall. Communication with the owner was virtually non-existent, and I had to go through VRBO support for answers to some of my questions. That being said, the inside of the unit was clean and comfortable. It was nice and cool on a hot day/night which was refreshing.

Pros and Cons
This property could be just what you are looking for, or not. In some ways it was great- the location was very convenient to downtown, the interior was decent and the price was much better than a hotel.
There were also things that might turn some people off. The property fits a category of minimum acceptable standards. There's nothing so bad that it's "terrible" but everything felt "barely good enough".
The kitchen was woefully lacking when it comes to making meals for 5 people. Exactly 5 of each placesetting, no bowls, kitchen towels or oven mits, hot pads, or serving/ mixing implements. Terrible, no. Just nothing like excellent.
The location is similar. While within easy walking distance from the arch and Busch stadium, the last block or two is poorly lit and not a place I'd walk alone at night.
The building interior has a grungey asthetic, a rickety elevator and a pretty complicated checkin process that may be a lot for a single person to manage. The unit's front door is pretty beat up and shades are falling off the back door. For us, these were not deal breakers, for you they might be.
Finally, we didn't have any issues with the host but also didn't require much.
So in summary- for seasoned travellers, used to being flexible this is a very affordable and well located option. For others, I suggest finding another option.

Let Down
Where to start...
-The check-in instructions were sent as two long paragraphs. A bullet-point list would and could be more effective at communicating the several steps to get inside and parked.
-This building is located in a not-so-safe looking part of town. I thought the gated parking lot would be an added layer of security until we got to it.
-I had to ask for the check-in link to be resent because it wasn't received at 3pm like the owner stated.
-The reserved parking is gated and within a gated parking lot. Both gates were wide open when we arrived. One of the gates looked like it could have easily fallen off, the parking lot itself is incredibly rough, and the places that would even read a parking card to get in were broken with one being duct-taped in place. I wish I could share pictures in reviews.
-The elevator was broken, making the climb not very easy on someone with bad knees or hips. Especially with luggage in tow.
-There was already someone parked in our reserved spot. The owner never responded via messaging when I tried to let her know. She did, however, respond rather quickly when I said we weren't staying there for the night.
We ended up deeming it necessary and willing to get a hotel room for the night instead. This is a first in my entire time staying in a VRBO accommodation. A full or partial refund would be nice, but I dont expect one.
