Our group had the best time staying at the Moose River camp! The cottage was even more cozy than it looked in the pictures. We were very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was, which made cooking meals a pleasure. They even made sure that there was a backup tank of propane in case we ran out (which we didn't, but it was great to know!). Swimming from the dock was wonderful, and we spent a full day on the lake after renting a pontoon boat from Captain Roger's just up the road. Could not have had a better time, would highly recommend!

The cabin is very cozy. The location is secluded and very quiet. The walk to the river and dock no more than 5 mins. It was great for what we needed, for our boat and fishing trip *note the dock is a shared dock. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and watching the deer in the yard.

Moose River Escape was perfect for my group. We fished the Moose River for 4 days and being so close to the river made the trip so easy. Kitchen area being open to the dining and sitting area kept everyone close enough to interact during meal prep and still keep those not cooking out of the way. Looking forward to coming back again next year.

Last-minute weekend away!

Adorable cabin, perfect size for our group, sparkling clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, and anything you could need in the kitchen. Amazing location, exactly what we were looking for. Host was responsive and wonderful to work with.

We loved our stay at the camp ! We where a little disappointed with the water access. The hill is a killer with a cooler and the fishing gear.

Great place to stay!

My husband and I have been staying here for probably 20 years and love it! The Moosehead area is our favorite place to be, away from home. The area is great, the people are so friendly and the caretakers and owners are top notch! Always extremely helpful and accommodating when anything comes up. Would highly recommend staying here!

Can’t lose!

Father/Daughter bird hunting trip

This was the first time we used this property for the annual father/daughter bird hunting trip. These were the best accommodations we've found for our trip in the Rockwood area.

Family trip to Rockwood

this is our third year we have enjoyed this location. This year the addition of outdoor security cameras took away the feeling of being up north. Despite being under surveillance we had a great time.

Another Great Stay

This was the second year renting this cabin. We loved it just as much. The cabin was spotless and warm for our arrival. Elizabeth is great and is always good at keeping in touch. Tammy and Rob the caretakers are fantastic. Is it next year yet?

Great escape

My 17 year old son, our two dogs and myself enjoyed our week at this property. We went to enjoy snow, peace and quiet and the outdoors and that is what we got. The cabin is cozy. Dogs enjoyed snoozing in their dog beds in front of the gas stove after hiking in the snowy woods. Not a bad drive to Greenville, Lily Bay State Park and other ponds and lakes. A few deer were there to greet us when we arrived.
