About this property

A spacious vintage home with a modern Unique twist

As you enter this spacious home, you will get the feel of another era walking into the kitchen. It will bring back memories of your parents or grandparents home As you walk throughout the home, you will get a few of a modern touch with a new addition and many updated features. It’s spacious yet has a cozy atmosphere.

This property has been in my late husband’s family for many generations. He was an advert outdoorsman. His trophies on the wall speaks volume of the type of guy he was. Other unique decor shows items from the family as they were kept and passed down through generations.

On the main level, you will find a kitchen, dining and TV room. With the master bath, half bathrooms as well as a bedroom.
On the lower level, you will find a great room with lots of space for the family to set and talk or the kiddos to enjoy
Upstairs, you will find three other bedrooms with a standard bathroom.

There is plenty of space outdoors to walk and enjoy the scenery. This home has Mountain View and just a great outdoors for family games.

The location is very convenient to Luray Caverns, mini antique and thrift stores. Local restaurants and grocery stores. Walking distance to Cooters museum.
Also, a short distance from Massanutten resort as well as Bryce resort.

Nice location, not as advertised

We planned a trip to The Luray Caverns and chose to stay at the property because of the proximity to the caverns and because it had a hot tub. Three days before our arrival we were informed by the owner that there would be a charge of $25 per set of sheets we would need. There were 9 of us staying so all 5 beds would need sheets. No where in the description was that stated when we booked the house. We ended up taking sheets with us which was a lot of extra to pack in and out. The description also stated there was a hot tub. That is not a lie, there is a hot tub. However the hot tub had about a foot of water in it and it was full of mold. I totally understand if the tub is not in use all year but that also was not alluded to in the description of the property. There are also 4-5 barn cats that live on the property. They are not friendly and my daughter was bit. They use the flower beds by the door with the key pad as a litter box and it was never cleaned out during our stay. Very stinky and also there were so many fly's you had to walk through to get inside. The full size bed upstairs needs to be replaced. Most uncomfortable bed. The mattress is old and slopes inward towards the middle. An extreme crater if you will. Might work for a kid but not an adult and definitely not two adults. Bring bottled water, the house is on well and doesn't seem to be filtered at all. Horrible sulfur smell. The house it self was clean, would not recommend because of issues stated above.
