Once found, a nice stay

We lived on lake Belton for 5 years and miss it so this trip was to satisfy a longing. Had a little difficulty finding the house at night but once there were pleased with the home. Appreciate Skip giving us a little extra time.

The location of this stay was exactly what we were looking for- quiet and peaceful but with plenty to keep us entertained. We especially enjoyed the access to a golf cart, the nearby playground, and the beautiful views. We travelled here with our 2.5yo and 2mo baby. The layout of the home was not ideal for having kids of this age but would be great for slightly older kiddos with the bunk room, etc. The split level made us further from our 2.5yo than we’d prefer but we made it work so we weren’t waking him while tending to the baby at night. Also, as the home is pet friendly, it was not the cleanest. I didn’t feel comfortable putting my baby on the floor with the dirt and dog hair. It did not seem to have been vacuumed when we arrived but Skip was very responsive and allowed us access to the vacuum to use while we were there, which was helpful since we stayed for 2 full weeks. The antique decor with nods to the area was a fun touch, but again not super toddler friendly, something I had not considered before booking. Overall we very much enjoyed our time here and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others traveling without kids or those with kids a little older than ours.

The place was very cozy. We really enjoyed it. My son fished in a tournament on Saturday and we enjoyed going down to the water to fish off the rocks after. Nice views from the back deck as well. Very peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake property! The setting is incredibly tranquil,quiet, and relaxing with spectacular views of the lake that made it the perfect place to unwind and spend quality time with family. The home is well stocked with everything we needed. One thing to note is that there are stairs to access the main floor and you’ll need to go upstairs to reach a bathroom. We created wonderful memories and would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside getaway!

We had such a great time staying here! The lake house had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing trip. Having the golf cart was such a nice bonus, and we loved being able to use the kayaks and paddleboards. The swimming area was awesome, and we spent so much time out on the lake. The house was clean and had plenty of seating area for our family. Plus, it was dog friendly. The kids enjoyed all the deer in the neighborhood. The kitchen is well appointed. We would certainly stay here again.
