The space
modern new build. Large open concept. Large spacious rooms. Tall ceilings. Wood flooring and ceiling. Lots of windows for great views of the Lake, The dam and the Elephant Butte.
Other things to note
This place is out in Champaine Hills and there is plenty of wildlife around. You may see deer, owls, snakes, spiders, wild pigs, coyotes, rabbit, hawks and much more of Desert wildlife.
Best night sky views for launches at Spaceport. We are only 20 min away from Spaceport and 15 min away from Armendariz Ranch.
5 minutes away from the Elephant Butte Dam Site Marina and Recreational area where you can launch and dock your boat.

Excellent Stay with tons of outdoor activities

Amazing views with tons of outdoor activities in the surrounding area. Things that would include going to the hot springs, Lake activities, and Hiking abound. Very quiet with no Neighbors and very peaceful.Highly recommend if you're really trying to avoid the crowds.

Great location if you want solitude. Loved the view of the dam at night and the sunsets. Just wished they had WIFI. But we dealt with it....

Overall a great value. David, the owner, was very attentive and the location, while remote, had a great view and had easy access. No propane for the grill.

Could be a nice place. Kind of thrown together with old furniture. One of the couches smelt like urine. There were mice in the home. There was no wifi at the property. The outside was poorly taken care of. After i seen the mice , i thought it was a waste of money. Infact my wife left home discusted. I stayed with the kids the final night. For 1800 for 3 nights its totally not worth it.

Great Views but odd experience

Property is secluded and private with stunning views, that’s about where it ends though. Mgmt of this property has a unique perspective on what customers want. Not my normal experience with VRBO and ABNB managers. Why advertise it sleeps 18 if you charge for every person after 4. It should be a nightly rate. Normal practices like check-in/out emails were not sent delaying entry. Normal amenities like WiFi, trash service, gas for the onsite gas grill were unavailable. From someone that stays in ABNB and VRBO properties dozens of nights a year this was not a great experience. You can tell the primary goal is to sell this property and not make it a destination. It was just a roof over our head and not the luxury seen in the photos. We would not stay here again. Everyone in my group of 6 adults were disappointed.
