About this space Mendocino Coast Studio tucked in the village of Albion is a wonderful getaway. Perched over the Albion River with a bird's eye view of the historic Albion River Bridge and cove beyond for sunsets over the ocean. The sun rises over the river. Goings on down below including seals on the docks. A snug spot to hunker down or a comfy coastal stopover between the Anderson Valley wine region and the Mendocino coast. Please "read more" before booking, 2 guest maximum & no children under the age of 12.
The space This studio is the only living space on the ground level of the property. As the house is carved into a hillside, there is one entrance from the driveway to a vestibule where there is the door to the unit and a separate door to the main house. A concrete floor with radiant floor heat separates the studio from the residence above for excellent sound-proofing and complete privacy.
A seating area, dining table and balcony with seating make this a delightful getaway spot.
Mini kitchen amenities include 2.2 cu ft fridge, a separate 1.1 cu ft freezer, compact countertop oven, microwave, two-burner hot plate, coffee maker, toaster, hand blender, cookware, dishware, drinkware, and utensils. For your entertainment and comfort there is wi-fi and a Smart TV with Xfinity.
Your rate includes 11% tax which covers Mendocino County Transient Occupancy Tax.
In this area cell phone service is spotty up to, and sometimes to Fort Bragg. However the signal for Verizon only is quite robust at the house. If your provider is T-Mobile, Sprint, or AT &T, it will not work on this property, but you may be able to use wi-fi to connect using your personal device. Guest access The access to the unit is through the carport. The entry room is shared by the guest studio and the main residence which is upstairs. Other things to note The last 200' to the driveway is a one lane gravel road. The driveway is a steep concrete driveway with a turntable at the top for a normal size vehicle (13' maximum wheel base). Large Sprinter type vans nor pickup trucks can use the turntable and will have to be backed down the driveway and there is a space below the property to do a three point turn to drive back up the road. No cars with trailers nor larger vehicles such as RVs will be able to easily access the property.

Wonderful place! Ann is a great host! Plan to come back.
We were honeymooners and stayed over the holiday weekend. The studio was as advertised and perfect for a two day getaway adventure. We enjoyed our stay on the coast and were especially grateful for Ann’s hospitality.

Ann’s place is fantastic, just as advertised and the view is even better in person. Communication was easy, Ann gave us a number of good tips for local food and entertainment too. Highly recommend, perfect for a romantic getaway.
Had a lovely two day stay at this property. Great for accessing the coast especially Mendocino to Fort Bragg. The property sits high above the river and we enjoyed dining on the porch watching birds and seals swimming up and down the river. Host was very timely in responding to questions.
The view is beautiful. The studio is quiet and cozy as advertised. The location was central for me.

I hope you enjoyed yourself............I am guessing you had other friends in the area! The weather certainly was perfect.
and the turntable is fine. Very fussy. I think Brady (an actor here for the next play in Mendocino) must have been just a little off center.
Came up to the area to attend my Nephews wedding day. Found the Mendocino Hideaway. It worked out great. Had everything I needed and more. Close to the venue and nicely appointed. Comfortable an d quiet. I would stay there again.
I wanted to visit Mendocino with my partner, I planned a surprise weekend getaway and I found this gem! It’s just outside of Mendocino so all the trails were only 10-15 minutes away. The property was the perfect size. It was cozy and clean and exactly what I was looking for. Ann was the sweetest! She made us feel at home, offered to use her larger kitchen for some steaks I wanted to cook the first night. There was a small fridge and freezer that was perfect for the snacks and wine we brought along for our trip. I will definitely be booking with Ann again when we are back in the area. :)
