About this property
TOURISM GOLD STANDARD - Sunset Pointe 2nd floor Private Waterfront Paradise
Sunset Pointe Condos offer a large open floor plan with West Indies style architecture and every room opening onto private covered porches. There are 4 units per building with no shared walls. The common area of each building includes a large breezeway on each floor and observation deck on the third level. The Master bedroom has private bath with porch overlooking pool, Mayan Mountains and Lagoon. Second bedroom has double bed, bunk beds and single bed up in loft - it sleeps 5. Its porch over looks the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Hall full bath and sofa bed in living rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. TV, cable, DVD, DVD library, stereo, internet, ceiling fans, A/C in every room and Mexican tile floors. We can accommodate up to 8 people.
Sunset Pointe is located at the southernmost tip of Placencia Peninsula, surrounded by water on three sides. The natural beauty of the tropical mangroves, the turquoise waters of the blue Caribbean Sea, the placid marine rich Placencia Lagoon and the Mayan Mountains are the back drop of a 360 degree view from Sunset Pointe Condos.
About 100 miles south of Belize City lies a 16-mile long peninsula. Placencia Village is a quaint fishing village that is home to about 500 Creole fishermen and their families. Surrounded by the beautiful Caribbean on the East side, the mangrove-lined Placencia Lagoon on the West side and the 2nd largest Barrier Reef in the world only 16 miles off our coast, you can see why Placencia is a dream destination for those who love to fish, dive or snorkel. But if you are more intrigued by land adventures, Belize will not disappoint! There are beautiful forests to zip line through, caves to hike, rivers for rafting, Mayan ruins to explore… just to get you started!
You can vacation here in secluded luxury at Sunset Pointe, a private, 12 condo, individually owned vacation residence.
Whether you want active adventure or quiet relaxation or both, you can have it during your stay at Sunset Pointe. From outings into the adjacent Caribbean Sea for fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, spearfishing, secluded island hopping, beach combing and sunbathing to road trips into the interior for jungle exploration, zip lining, cave tubing, Mayan ruins, and tomb trekking, it is all available with a private guide at the helm. Alfred Williams, our friend and 30 year licensed local guide in Belize, will take you there in his boat or vehicle. Venture on your own with a lagoon-side 10 minute walk into the heart on Placencia Village for provisions at the supermarket/pharmacy, a stop at the internet cafe, lunch at a local restaurant on the beach or over water, a sip at the local wine bar, and desert at the authentic Italian gelato shop. Rent a golf cart in town and visit one or several small resorts which line the Caribbean side of the peninsula to shop, or take your fresh caught fish which they will prepare for you for a fabulous dinner.
You may want to take the day off and relax with the private amenities of Sunset Pointe which include the pool, hot tub, 360 degree view roof top palapas, Caribbean dock with hammocks, fishing pier with boat slips, outdoor barbecue pit with caretaker on site. Take in the sunrises over the Caribbean Sea and majestic sunsets over the lagoon and Mayan Mountains. After walk into town for some tropical nightlife at the local beach bars which offer drinks and dancing well past midnight. Kayaks and bikes are provided for exploring Lagoon and Village.

Why they chose this property
We have been traveling to Belize since 2014 and love it. There is so much to do and see. The people are so friendly we just kept coming back. We have had some of the best times of our life here. It really is a home away from home. As soon as we saw Sunset Pointe, we knew that we wanted to make it our second home. We purchased our unit the day it went on sale! The location is ideal - a close walk to town, but privately located at the tip of a peninsula on a dirt road. The decor of each unit is unique, warm and welcoming, not like cookie-cutter units found in many condo complexes.
What makes this property unique
How many places in the world can you see whales sharks, eagle rays, dolphin, manatee, sea turtles, boas, macaws, toucans, iguanas, jaguar, tapir, gibnut, deer, beautiful tropical fish and then some all in their natural habit. Fishing is some of the best in the world! Belize truly has something for everyone. WE still continue to find new adventures to do. It is complete paradise!
