The drive in was sketchy but the house was exactly what the host said it would be. Very clean and communication was great. Will be staying again on our next trip to Amarillo.
This was the second time we stayed at this property. It was on our way back through Amarillo. The host is accommodating and helpful. The property is as listed. We recommend it.
The stay was wonderful. They are extremely pet friendly. The accomodations were absolutely wonderful. Also has a completely large fenced in yard! I will definitely be staying there again.
We had plenty of room to spread out after being on the road all day. Such a cute and warm house with all of the amenities that you need. We loved sitting outside in the evening letting the dogs run around in the back yard.
This was our first stop in a cross country move. While the neighborhood looked a little sketchy coming in, the host assured me the immediate neighbors were all great. I was pleasantly surprised at the home itself. Very nicely decorated and appointed, it was clean as a whistle and stocked with drinks and treats. Beds were great, nice fenced in yard for the dog, owner was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for everything, we would stay again if in the area.
I really enjoyed the stay, super cute house. I really slept well, the bed was firm to my liking, plenty pillows and extra blankets to keep us comfortable. Felt like a VIP member with the owner providing some light beverages and snacks. Much appreciated 👏
We stayed here on our way from Casper, WY to Azle, Tx, for one night. The house is very comfortable and had room for 4 of us, each with their own bed. The host has notes in each room that helps with some specifics. Definitely a nice alternative to a hotel.
It felt like staying at Grandma's house, cozy and welcoming. So many nice details, like extra spices etc in the kitchen to planty or blankets and towels, and fun things for the kids to do. It is an older home but it is clean. The only downside is a few trains went by during the night while we were sleeping, it woke me up (a light sleeper) but not my kids. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!!
Homie, clean and all the necessarys you may need for your trip. Host was very attentive and thoughtful. Very likely to stay if ever in town again. Do be advise home is older model but secure and clean. No regrets, enough room for everyone including your furry friend.
When I found out where the location of this unit was I was a bit worried. When we arrived and walked into the house we were surprised at how nice the house is. It more than exceeded our expectations. The House was clean and comfortable. Despite our worries regarding the location we never felt unsafe. We had some issues with the lock but Sharyn was quick to respond to our needs. Thank you so much and we will definitely book this house again.
The host provided a number of sweet extras, such as toys for kids and babies, dog houses and dog feeding dishes, and sodas in the fridge, that add that extra nice touch. The backyard is enormous, which is great if you have either kids or dogs. There's no dishwasher, which was not a problem for us, but some people might not read the listing carefully and end up being surprised. We accidentally brought a toy and a couple silverware pieces home with us and contacted the host to ask where we could mail them, who kindly told us not to worry about it. Very sweet lady.

About the host

We are born and raised Amarillo Folks. We love to travel. As a large family that loves their pets, it was hard to find places we could stay at SO we decided a few months back to list my childhood home on two short term rental sites. Our hope was to give families a very reasonable, comfortable place to stay. We work really hard to make sure you and your family/or group have a great stay.
Why they chose this property
It is a low income neighborhood with great people in it. My neighbors to the north and directly behind me have lived their 40 plus years. It might look rough driving in but there are families that have lived there for many years. It is mostly hard working people just trying to have a good life.
What makes this property unique
When I decided to turn it into a short term rental, I tried to use as much of my Dad's stuff to make you feel right at home. I had hundreds of my mom's recipes/cookbooks that are there for you to take one or two. If you need some emotional support, I have my Grandmother Francis prayer blanket there for you to wrap in and take your worries away. My husband and I clean it ourselves to make sure everything is like we would want if we were staying there.
