Space is dark. No windows only patio door in the kitchen. Plenty of lamps, but no direct sunlight patio could stand a little cleanup before arrival. Unsightly Plumbing and some electrical covered by a curtain and plastic ties. Spices for cooking would have been a plus. Needs some TLC to make it feel more homey. Upstairs over the bedroom a bit noisy. Can hear foot steps over you when you’re in bed. Would not rebook.

As shown in our listing photos, this is a lower-level apartment, and the layout, natural lighting, and furnishings are accurately represented. With your visit taking place in late October, the outdoor space also reflects the normal seasonal changes of fall. We’d also like to clarify that there is no exposed plumbing in the apartment. The area mentioned is a finished utility space concealed by a curtain. As this is a lower-level apartment with living space above, some occasional footsteps may be audible, although we do our best to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment. We appreciate your feedback and remain committed to providing guests with an accurately represented, clean, and comfortable stay.

Clean, convenient, and comfortable

Convenient place to explore Asheville (less than 20 minutes to downtown) and the Blue Ridge Mountains. We loved having a fully functioning kitchen and appreciated the basic staples such as olive oil, coffee, spices, etc.

Great Spot for Us

The space was perfect for my husband and I to explore Asheville and the surrounding area. Plenty of towels, bed was comfy, and plenty of space to spread out. Wish we picked a more outdoor friendly time of year, i.e. not January. We had fun exploring Dillsboro and Bryson City as well as downtown Asheville.

We'd come again!

Spacious, well-equipped, very clean and private. Off the beaten path a bit but convenient to grocery store, gas station, post office and YMCA. Seemed to be about 20-30 minutes from anywhere we wanted to go! I could see someone choosing this place for a longer-term stay as well. The host is very responsive. One caveat: the location is the lower level of the house, which is on a slope, and the walkway to the entry is sloped, curving and fairly narrow, so this may not be an appropriate choice for someone with mobility limitations.
