Ashley was about the cleanest guest we’ve ever had! She even tied up the garbage and had everything all ready to go. No mess at all! Thank you so much Ashley hope to see you all again sometime!
It was a lovely little space to stay real cozy definitely will come back to stay they had a mini fridge full of essentials which was a nice touch! On the last day Carol came down and introduced herself which I thought was a really nice thing to do so we would know our host 10/10 highly recommend!

We stayed in this apartment to be close to the Biltmore and West Asheville, and it turned out to be the perfect spot. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the pull-out bed was surprisingly comfortable (no bar in the back), so I actually slept great! They even stocked the mini-fridge with drinks, had a basket of snacks, and the bathroom had everything we could need. We’d love to come back and stay again in the future.

Lacie I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. It's good to know the one star was an error and I'm sorry it's been so cumbersome to try to get it fixed. Hopefully VRBO will be able to help you. Thanks for your efforts on this.
Great spot convenient to blue ridge parkway and short ride to downtown. Clean place with enough space for the 2 of us, loved shower and river rocks. Carol was a great host and had great communication, we would stay here again.

This is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in Asheville! Location is very close to downtown and very private. The apartment itself is well thought out with many nice creature comforts like an air purifier on top of ice cold air conditioning which was amazing in the summer heat. The bathroom has a wonderful rain head shower and the floor transports you to a spa. All in all it was a great place to stay and would strongly recommend!

This is a lovely property, extremely clean. Communicative hosts. I wish we had known a little but more about the sofa. Not exactly large enough for even a small sized adult to stretch out comfortably on (the sofa is in two pieces, so it moves apart when you lay long across it, as opposed to the chaise one piece, which my friend’s body was too long for —he is 5’7” and very slim and found the sofa to be insufficient for his small body). Sofa would be ideal for child. Otherwise a great and hospitable stay!

Katie I'm glad you liked our place but I'm sorry your friend was uncomfortable. It looks like you may have missed the description of the couch in our listing:
Spacious living room with comfy couch that small adult or child could sleep on (not pull out).
Carol’s Cottage was the perfect place for us to stay during our visit to Asheville to celebrate our 15th anniversary!
Carol is such a gracious and welcoming host with the perfect personal touch- snacks, fridge with drinks, fresh flower on the table and chocolates!
The place was exactly as the pictures are online and it is so inviting and cozy.
The location was perfect, everywhere we wanted to go it was only about a 10 minute drive; downtown Asheville, the Biltmore, breweries, all the fun places! It was great being so close but being able to come back to a quiet and comfortable place to unwind and recharge. And not to mention relax with an amazing shower in a bathroom nicer than mine at home!
Carol knocked it out of the park!

About the host
Hosted by Carol Greenberger
My husband Jim and I live upstairs and are recent empty-nesters. Now we just have our sweet rescue dog Mae Mae and our kitty Parsley. If you happen to see us walking Mae Mae she is super friendly and will want to say hi. They never go in the Airbnb though because it is allergen free! I am a psychotherapist and I work from home on telehealth. I am also an abstract expressionist painter and you’ll see my paintings in the Airbnb. Jim is a special ed teacher. We love gardening and have added more native plants to the yard each year. Our property goes down to the stream and on the other side of the stream are our wonderful neighbors who raise bees and have a German Shepherd puppy who is contained by an electric fence. He is also very friendly, if you happen to see him don’t be afraid. We do have bears wander through from time to time and once I saw a family of raccoons down in the stream. Lots of wildlife around here for sure! You may hear owls hooting and coyotes howling at night.
Why they chose this property
Quiet neighborhood with lots of nice streets to walk on, plus a mile down the road there is Master's Park, a parking area and trailhead that goes all the way up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mountains to Sea Trail. Gentle switchbacks all the way up to the Parkway.
What makes this property unique
Serene quiet property very close to town. Patio with fire pit.
