There are beautiful beaches within walking distance. Each evening, tiki torches light up the grounds for an exquisite Hawaiian tropical ambiance. Papakea is walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

Papakea Resort is performing a property-wide extensive plumbing project and you may hear some noise during this time. Standard work hours for this project will be from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday unless authorized for weekend work. We have been notified that the project is pending completion around June 2026. We have decreased rates during these dates to compensate for any inconvenience. ***
-Contractors will be present on the property to begin quieter preparatory tasks as early as 7:00 AM.
-To minimize possible disruption, louder tasks will not start before 10:00 AM.

It is located just North of the famous Ka'anapali Beach. Walk to nearby local shops, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is a quick drive to Whalers Village and many of Maui's top beaches like Kaanapali, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay. Parking is free for one vehicle; additional vehicles are $5/day. This fee is collected by the Resort's Front Desk staff upon arrival.

We so enjoyed our stay! The view from the balcony is amazing, we loved watching the whales and listening to the birds. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is friendly. The unit had everything we needed and was perfect. We can’t wait to come back.

We've stayed in this unit many times. Enjoy the location and view. Plenty of kitchenware, closet space, seating. We were very pleased. Only snafu was a plumber had been doing work and when we checked in, a box with parts was spread out on counter. We just put them in the back in the box and placed it under a table.

Great condo and location

The condo is spacious and had everything we needed. The ocean view from the lanai was terrific. The Papakea Resort has two outdoor pools and hot tubs which we used several times. There isn't much beach but you can walk to the next property for more beach. It is a great location and close drive to several beaches for snorkeling. The condo had some beach chairs and an umbrella.

We had a great time staying at this resort. This particular unit was perfect for the two of us. The furnishings are updated (heard from several others of outdated furnishings for other units), the place is clean, and the views are spectacular. Great location as well. Would recommend to others.

We had a fantastic time here. The apartment was spotless and the property was beautiful. Common facilities were well maintained and beaches just adjacent were very pleasant. One thing I would recommend this property adding is a bar.

Really like Papakea and our room. Relaxing atmosphere and not crowded. The staff was excellent and friendly. Would suggest adding more than 2 coffee cups to the kitchen supplies and tighten the headboard to the bed frame as all the bolts are loose and it moves. Great place for families

This was the perfect place to bring a family. Quiet and lots of families around. The pool and BBQs were great. Near by to a park. But you need to drive to go to a decent beach. Nicely decorated with new and functional appliances. The staff at the facility were friendly and helpful. The only downsides were: The internet despite being told was “the fastest on the island”, was quite slow. And the couch bed basically felt like a sheet on top of metal springs, and therefore unhelpful as a spare bed. There was a spare foam bed that our son slept on which ended up being alright. Great location and lots within walking distance.

Relaxing and convenient place to stay

we stayed at this place for six nights during our vacation over Christmas. We loved it. I normally don't rate any place with 5 starts however 4 starts is a little bit understating and there is no option for 4.5. - Great location. It's within 15 mins drive to most of the nice beaches in west Maui: Kaanapali, Napili etc. There are quite a few grocery stores and great restaurants within walking distance. The Maui Seafood Market is literally across the street. It's like our cafeteria. - Relaxing environment: it's a garden style resort. It does feel like a residential community instead of a resort, which I liked a lot. The buildings are spread out and surrounded by tropical gardens. There are fish pond, waterfalls, bridges. It's super relaxing. Personally, I like it much better than high rises. Although it's not the first row facing the ocean, but the combined view of the ocean and the green is amazing. We spent some of our time just sitting at the balcony and relaxing. - The place is fully renovated. All appliances are very nice. The deco creates the tropic atmosphere in the condo. We loved it. - The appliances are new. It has everything you would need. It does have dish washer and washer/dryer in the unit. We had this problem with other places as they advertised washer/dryer but it's a community laundry room. It's a big NO for me. The shower is little bit small, but not a big deal. The manager, Misty, is very nice and accommodating. Overall, we loved it and truly enjoyed.

Perfect Spot for a getaway

This condo was perfect. We got to know the island pretty well during our time and of all the condo buildings we saw in Lahaina/Napili or Kihei areas it had the nicest grounds and overall feel. You can sit on the patio and look out to the ocean and even go down to the water a short walk away. Fully stocked kitchen. Pleasant, island-y decor. Comfortable bed and pillows. Laundry in unit (though the laundry machine is a bit hard on clothes). This place was a godsend especially when the quarantine started and we were sheltered in place for two weeks. Omg, perfect place to get stuck.

Great place to stay

Beautiful condo. The views are amazing. The condo was clean and modern. Very well set up for a couple vacation. There is not a restaurant on property but you can easily walk to many! Java Jazz across the street is great for coffee. The whales were abundant and easily seen from the condo! The only issue we had was with the lack of dry pans. We awoke our first morning (a Saturday) to find only sauce pans to cook with! We called the property manager around 6 am. No call back by noon. Left a second message. We had to go buy a fry pan so we would be able to make breakfast the following morning. Fry pans were delivered on Monday mid afternoon while we were out of the condo. All in all the $40 it cost for the fry pan was only a minor bump for an overall great week!

Very nice condo! Nice ammenities!

Loved our stay at this condo. Only one thing that I'd note is don't expect to use the sofa bed for adults. Perhaps only for small kids as the mattress and wire frame is very uncomfortable. We were 3 adults so I just closed the sofa bed and slept on the couch, which was really comfortable anyways. The location near the pool, hot tub, and beach area was excellent. Loved the staff at the building - all very friendly. We had a maintenance guy try to come by twice and I told him we were just renting and I didn't have notice from the owner, but then I let him on the 3rd time. Never got a warning from the owner or building and I thought that was a little weird. Other than that - great stay and great location on Maui. Living room fan and air conditioning controls were hard to find. Air con control is behind the tv. Living room fan control is hiding under the kitchen island, under the telephone.
