Do not feed the wildlife, or allow animals inside the villa. Keep doors latched when not in use.

What a great place to call home while visiting the area. Comfortable, beautiful, quiet and safe are just some of the great things about it. The condo is nice and compact. I've never seen a place with so many towels. They seemed to be in all the drawers! There was also a nice assortment of fry pans, which you don't always get at rentals. We were dismayed, on arriving on a Friday afternoon, to hear loud music blaring for hours from Father Rooster's. A walk on the beach was also jarring, although the sunset was beautiful.The next day, without the noisy background, the beach was much more hospitable, and the kids had a good time snorkeling and swimming. The grounds boasts a lot of birds, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had dipped a bit out of our price range, so probably won't return, but in all it was quite an enjoyable stay.

It’s also great to hear your family enjoyed the snorkeling, swimming, and the beautiful birdlife around the property. Those are some of our favorite parts of Playa Ocotal as well. We do understand that occasional live music from the nearby beachfront restaurant can be heard, on some lively evenings. The good news is that it’s not a constant occurrence, and as you experienced., the beach is typically very quiet, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding, especially during the day and at sunset. For guests considering a stay, this location offers a unique balance of easy access to a romantic and sometimes lively beachfront atmosphere when you want it, along with tranquil mornings, incredible wildlife, and a safe, family-friendly environment. We’re so glad overall you had an enjoyable visit, and we’d love the opportunity to host you again in the future. Pura Vida!

The unit was well represented, loved having 3 beds/baths. So appreciated Corby, the prop mgr meeting us in Playa de Coco and following her to the unit. We would never have found it on our own and in the dark.Very short walk to the beach and Father Roosters. The wifi was pretty sketchy. We had some issues with the people with golf carts and parking. But overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing time

Rooms were clean, however shower drain in one of the barthroom was clogged and didnot drain properly. Patio furniture could have been more comfortable and couple of more additional chairs would have been nice. Location of the villa was good, close proximity to the beach however villas were too close together and the view could have been better, especially in the back. The villa itself was clean and well equipped, we enjoyed our stay.

This was a lovely place to stay on the Pacific coast. Ocotal beach is a 5 minute walk from the condo, and we enjoyed walking, swimming & tide pool exploring daily. The welcome instructions were clear & communication with the property concierge was easy and response time was very quick. The condo was comfortable & well-stocked with necessary items for a beach vacation. We took a snorkeling/exploring boat trip one day and it was easy to arrange pickup at Ocotal beach. Father Rooster's restaurant was a good choice for dinner on the ocean with live music & great food/drink. We would definitely recommend this rental to family & friends. Thanks so much for a great family stay.

Relaxing and comfortable condo for a family vacation, close to a beautiful beach!

Our family of six (all adults) really enjoyed our two-week holiday stay at Nick’s condo — the 3 bedroom, 3 bath layout was perfect for us! The kitchen is well equipped and it also was great to have a washer dryer. The location is very nice, just a few minutes walk to the beach. We also really enjoyed having access to the Club! We came to this area of Costa Rica primarily to scuba dive and we were very pleased with the local dive company and the proximity of the condo to the diving services.

We had a very nice stay at the Dwelling Place. The unit was stocked well and all we had to do was bring ourselves, our belongings and any food we wanted to eat/cook. The A/C upon arrival was set at a comfortable level and was easy to adjust. We were provided w/ extra bath towels, beach towels and toilet paper. The built in shower/conditioner/bodywash dispenser is great and I loved the products they used! Parking is easy and Wifi was available as well.The condo itself was easy to find after the property manager provided a pin for our GPS. It's in a gated community so it felt safe. Ocatal beach (a black sand beach) is literally a 3 minute walk from the unit. There is a kiosk where you can book a tour or water activity from a local guy. People also fish from this beach. Unfortunately, Father Rooster restaurant was closed for vacation during our stay so we did not get to experience that. Fortunately, Coco Beach is less than a 10-min drive away and has many options for food.We did not have a chance to swim in the pool but it literally is 50 steps away from the unit. I did hit my head a few times when the washing machine door slammed on my head. And we had to just buy a bag of ice because the ice trays and the rack in the freezer were rusted. This did not affect our comfort or stay in any way.Communication with the property manager was excellent. Alex helped us get a discount at Diamanté Eco Adventure Park which was great. Would definitely stay here again!

My wife is from Costa Rica and I'm from California. We met in Costa Rica while I was on a mission trip, married in a little jungle church, and moved to the U.S. We always wanted to have some property in Costa Rica and when the opportunity came to have this little slice of paradise, we couldn't resist. It is modern but yet you experience being in Costa Rica. We enjoy spending time at the beach, snorkeling, enjoying nature, and experiencing pura vida, pure life. We hope to share this spirit of Costa Rica with you as you stay in our home.

Why they chose this property

We enjoy Ocotal most for its more tranquil vibe then some of the neighboring communities. Yet, we can easily go to the busier touristy areas in nearby Coco as desired. Hearing the birds and howler monkeys here at Vista Ocotal, as well as enjoying the pools and beach, makes for a relaxing stay. We were on the beach one day and a local guide showed us the magnetic properties of the black mineral sand. Walking on mineral sand can be a therapeutic experience and is believed to have health benefits such as reducing joint pain and improving circulation. There is also a section of white sand. The location is also great for visiting nearby tourist attraction and other beaches. Having the airport only 45 minutes away is very convenient.
