Connect with nature on private horse farm. Kid & Pet friendly
This is a kid friendly & pet friendly barn apartment on a private horse farm. The apartment has one king bed, one twin bed, one sectional couch and a loveseat. There is a full kitchen, 3 bathroom sinks, 1 shower and 1 shower bath combo.
This is not a 5 star condo. It is a barn apartment with an exposed ceiling on a horse farm that is cleaned to the best of my abilities. It is great for families needing space for travel, couples looking for a quiet getaway, people that love animals and find joy waking up to see them, and those that want a country setting with some peace and quiet. It has seen a little wear and tear, and I plan to remodel it when I have the funds. Please do not sign up if you are expecting a 5 star condo (it's not!), but if you LOVE animals and you want to spend time with horses please do! We would love to have you!

Was a great time with the fam! Lots of horses to see and great place to get away. Listing is very accurate and host communication was top notch! The property is close to everything you would need, restaurants, shopping, etc..Highly recommended
This place far exceeded the humble expectations set in the listing. I would have done anything to live in a place like this during my college days! Super spacious and sparkling clean. Very thoughtfully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Will definitely consider returning!
Was just right for 4 guys staying to fish the local lake. Simple place with safe place to keep our boats and able to keep all fishing gear in boat and ready for next day.
This is not a 5 star hotel but so much better. You wake up in the morning to see horses out your window Ashley was very friendly and has a wealth of knowledge to share about horses and other animals. Located so close to Zootastic you can hear the animals and their different calls throughout the night!!
Wow, that was so sick!! Got to pet horses and goats to welcome us at the gates, don’t expect a 5 stair but definitely deserves better comments lady was very kind, so easy to get in contact with, let us have a fire beside a lake if you wanted to, A ZOO IS 5 MINUTES AWAY WITH WHITE TIGERS, LIONS, BEARS, ZEBRAS!! Not to far from Carrigan Farms, A FANTASTIC PLACE FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS FOR A SUMMER TRIP, the price was very affordable, if you love the country and farm land this is the place for you, I’m a little of a city boy and mountain guys, but this made me a little more country hahaha, and it’s getting remodeled in the future but definitely a good place to just sleep if you need a quick place to stay!!!
We had a memorable 2-night stay at this Troutman Ranch in May 2024. It is a large ranch with friendly cats, a dog, and numerous horses. Our 4-year-old had a great impression of feeding the horses and playing with the newborn foals.
The pictures accurately show what the room, kitchen, living room, and bathroom look like. In fact, we felt that the rooms were bigger in real life. The room was quiet and comfortable. There was a heavy storm on the second night, but we all slept well.
Thank you for hosting us and we hope others will be blessed by your place as well. Ridwan

I’m not into nature being inside a house
If you like the outdoors being around horses and don’t mind the dirt that comes along with that experience then this is for you, not me. From floor to ceilings and from no heat to colder still. I can ’t believe that such a rental is available through VRBO. Open wires, dirt everywhere, and broken light switches. Had to text to have heat turned on, then it was set to 60 degrees. Terrible.

We knew we wouldn't be staying in a pristine resort, but we expected it to be in better condition than it was. There were very specific instructions on where to park which led you to a single vehicle width spot between the vrbo and a long section of used horse stall bedding. Upon exiting/entering your vehicle you had be careful not to step in the horse droppings. It smelled as you would expect it to.There was so much dust on everything, you could smell it and it felt like you were actively breathing it in. It seems like all they do to turn over the place is change the linens and take out the trash. There were items in the fridge (which was quite dirty inside). There were two couches, one had a cover, which seemed clean. The other larger couch was visably stained and had a strong odor. There were two TVs set up, one with an Xbox, neither worked. In the photos there is a table with games which did not exist. I asked the host about the games and she said they were on the front porch, which consisted of a dirty, dusty pile of stuff (with no games). There was a point in the evening we agreed it was just a one night stay and to get up and get going as soon as we could. If we had booked multiple nights we would have left. I would not recommend this property.

Guests must be able to drive on a muddy narrow driveway and back out. Wear boots if you plan to leave the room. The room has no ceiling and a very stained couch. Freezer is questionable. Shower is cracked, and water runs all over the bathroom floor. Large entertainment system, but we were unable to get any of it to work. No games as pictured. Everything outside (including games) is covered with a thick layer of dust/dirt. Opened the car door to a "hedge" of manure lining the driveway. Had to carry bags over horse hooves clippings. Host could provide some sort of walkway out of the mess. Yes, the description says it is a working horse farm. I'm from the country, and I've been around horses before. All working horse farms I've been around have been different, cleaner, and better than this one.
