We had a blast this weekend, beach was perfect even with a chilly weekend. The stairs down the water are beautiful and recently re done! Our group made so many new memories and enjoyed the charm the houses had to offer!
Extremely cozy home. Very accommodating to our needs. Beautiful views of the lake, nice kitchen areas, comfortable beds. We had 10 people comfortably stay here for 3 days. We have zero complaints!!!

We ’re so glad you enjoyed your stay!! Please consider staying in our cottages in the future. It was a pleasure to host you all.
Perfect location to Lexington! Listing describes the place perfectly, and if any issues popped up the hosts were so timely in their response! Group of college friends and I had a wonderful trip here - the home is very beautiful, and the back screened in porch was where we spent most of our time! Perfect location, so close to town! Would recommend to anyone

I'm so glad you all enjoyed your stay, Ingrid! Thank you for being so responsive and communicative. It was a pleasure to host you. I hope you can come and stay there again sometime.
It was right on the water, close to town and big enough for our whole family and very clean.
However, there was not a bathroom on the main floor and there are a lot of stairs between the beach and the bathroom. Also, the rounded driveway was alittle cumbersome with several cars as someone always had to move their car to let the middle cars out.

Thank you for sharing your comments with us. I appreciate your feedback. I am sorry to find out that you had any negative experience throughout your stay; however, you never communicated with me about any issues you were having. The pictures and descriptions on the listing include the layout of the homes. If you still had questions, I would have been happy to correspond with you about them. After having purchased the property late last year, we have been cleaning, updating and renovating, including installing new steps to the beach/waterfront. Concerning steps from the beach to a bathroom, the cottage has a full bathroom on the main floor. We find the property to be very special and are lovingly attempting to maintain the quaintness and historical nature of the properties, which includes a circular driveway. I have a house rule of no more than 4 cars parted on the property. I also have a house rule of no pets on the property that you agreed to when booking with me. You clearly broke the no pets house rule, and never communicated with me about it. Once again I am sorry about any negative reactions you had to my property. We try very hard to be accurate and upfront in our listing and are accommodating with guests to the best of our ability.
Warm Regards,
Sharon
Sharon was very responsive whenever I sent a message and always tried to be as accommodating as possible for me and my friends. Everything in the listing was accurate, so there were no surprises. As stated in the listing, it’s important to keep in mind the neighbors with bigger groups - have to definitely keep the noise down. The town was so nice and being right on the lake was amazing…it’s a private beach! I would love to book again sometime in the future and I hope to have as positive an experience that I did as far as communication with the host goes, for any other trips booked on VRBO.

Beautiful location
We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a very old cottage with many updates and quite charming. The AC worked well and there are lots of fans. It is nicely furnished and quite comfortable. The large back screened in porch was a wonderful place to hang out. The stairs to the beach are in great condition with a nice area halfway down with a picnic table and benches, lovely spot for a meal. We really enjoyed the natural areas around the beach and the backyard. There are many native plants, birds and truly magnificent white pines! They are huge! And one day we heard bald Eagles up in the trees there. The owner was very responsive to the garbage/trash bins overflowing when we arrived. She had someone out to remedy that the next day! Good things to know, there are 43 steps to the beach but it is not a hard climb. The shower in the main house is in a claw foot tub, lovely but challenging for us short folks with orthopedic issues. The small cottage does have a walk in shower though, so that can be an option.
Taking over ownership and management of these quaint cottages very near the cute town of Lexington is a dream come true! My daughter Rosemary and her husband Pat live near by, and they have been painstakingly renovating the home to create a wonderful space for your large group gatherings. Rosemary is excited to be the guest contact and help you with your every need!
Why they chose this property
Lexington is right on Lake Huron. It is home to many small shops and restaurants and a public area right on Lake Huron. There are multiple festivals and music events, with much to offer during your stay.
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique in that it includes separate structures. The original structure was an old hunting/fishing lodge. It has a large room with four beds offering many wonderful opportunities for grandkids and others to sleep in and remember. The main house has a screened in porch reaching the length of the home. It is a lovely place to eat, visit, and watch the freighters go by. Two bedrooms upstairs offer stunning views of the water. There is also a renovated hot tub room, with windows facing the water. It is such a treat to sit in the hot tub and look out over Lake Huron.
