Beautiful cabin and close to the state park. Was quiet at night for peaceful rest. Close to restaurants and gas station for anything that was needed for staying there. Grill was provided for outside cooking which was perfect. Very clean and everything was provided for cooking (kitchen ware) and eating. Will go back!
The cabin was clean and cozy, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed reading the history of the cabin and seeing the old pictures as well. The location was great, only a few minutes from the headwaters. The area was peaceful and quiet, very relaxing. Being close to the ice cream shop was a bonus. We walked over each afternoon to try a different flavor. The host quickly answered any questions and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the area, hiked in the park and drove to Bemidji and Akeley to see the Paul Bunyan statues.Overall we had a great time away! We'd stay here anytime
We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was super cute, quaint, and perfect for our family of five. We especially loved that small pets are allowed, and pets can be on a leash throughout Itasca State Park, which was a big reason we chose this area for our long weekend.Check-in was easy, and having the ice cream/gift shop nearby and a convenience store right across the road was so convenient. The cabin was clean, private, and quiet while still being close to everything. It was only about 2–3 minutes from the north entrance of the park, which made it really easy to come and go throughout the day.The cabin is rustic and has very basic amenities. I always bring and plan for the worse on if a place has everything, so that helped us out. We loved using the charcoal grill for meals and spending time on the porch drinking coffee, eating, and playing games when we weren't out exploring. The kids especially loved the large open area around the cabin where they could run and play. We spent our weekend hiking, swimming, and exploring Itasca State Park, and this cabin was the perfect home base.We would absolutely stay here again! It was such a great family getaway, and we could definitely see ourselves making this an annual family tradition. Highly recommend!
This property met all of our needs. Layout of the rooms was great; furnishings were comfy; location was right where we wanted to be. Would love to stay here again - maybe a sister gathering.
Very easy to find and close to Itasca, yet secluded. It is a beautiful, cozy little cabin tucked in the pines just across from the North entrance to Itasca.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin very much. The location is perfect for easy access to Itasca state park. The cabin is cute, clean, quiet, and quaint. Highly recommend!
