Great Stay!

We had a great stay (3 adults and 2 kids)! Super cute house and great location. The outdoor shower was a plus after a day at the beach. The location is to the beach and restaurants. The host was amazing and even left a snack basket which the kids loved! We would definitely stay there again!

Our family of 6 stayed here with children ranging from 21-12. The house was exactly as advertised. It was so nice walking into a home and not having to worry about making the beds and bringing bathroom and beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked and it was nice having spices available. Everything was labeled so there were no guessing games on where things were located. The walk to the beach was easy and quick. The beach was great, with calm waters and lots of space on the beach. It was never crowded. Four beach chairs were provided so we brought two more of our own. We found that one food lion was much better than the other for food shopping and a quick 5 min drive. We enjoyed meadows frozen custard (15min away) and a gorgeous sunset near the crab shack restaurant a little further down from meadows. Overall a great family vacation.

Amazing family-friendly spot!

My family of 4 (9 yo & 11 yo) enjoyed every moment of our vacation! All were amazing and we would definitely return. The house is amazing, I actually left a whole bag of stuff in my car because everything we needed was already here! We went to the air & space museum, beach, and Stuft. Great time in a great space.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway!

This place is perfect! It’s a super short walk to the beach, a well appointed and tastefully decorated bungalow, and close to Hampton, Williamsburg, Norfolk, VA Beach and all the area activities. The hosts are super easy to communicate with and have really tried to think of everything to make you feel like you’re at home away from home! We definitely will be staying at The Gray Pelican again!

I absolutely loved the house, the layout, decor, the beautiful flowers, and it has so much lighting that came through. I felt like I was at home. The house was clean stocked with everything that you would need and most of all it was just a few blocks from the beach. Couldn’t ask for anything better I would gladly stay again.

Cozy and Fab

We wanted to stay near the beach while we were in town house hunting and this place was amazing!!!! The house is beautiful and the owners thought of every need a vacationer might have. There were just two of us but I couldn’t easily see sharing this property with another couple or bringing small children.

The rental was wonderful! The location was perfect for days at the beach and a short drive to some great restaurants. Our group consisted of six, ages ranging from 20 to 80. We all loved the assortment of games (we had daily competitions - winner got to choose the next day’s restaurant) and the delicious snacks at our arrival. Amy was amazing to work with, and so thoughtful to let us know the lawn company was coming. We had such a lovely time!

Perfect home to stay In

This was our first time renting a home and & I was very impressed. Our experience while staying there was perfect, they provided everything we could have possibly needed and made us feel like it was our home. The location was perfect, a short little walk to the beach, ice cream shop at the end of the street, & the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. We made so many memories and we ended up staying another night. The home was decorated so beautiful and my granddaughter who is 6 loves all of the extra amenities they provided. Thank you for a great vacation!

Swim Meet in Hampton

We traveled to Hampton for a swim meet and opted to rent this house instead of staying in a hotel just so we had more space. We are so glad we did! The house is spotless, incredibly organized, and had everything we needed for our stay. We especially loved all the labeled cabinets! The beds were comfortable. Clearly, this house is a labor of love and the owners were very thoughtful in every detail. Thanks for making traveling with kids a little bit easier!
