3 BD/ 2 1/2 BA Two story new construction located in East Ocean View. 3 Blocks From Beach and Steps to Pretty Lake Inlet. Master BD w/ queen shiplap bed, walk in closet, and en suite w/tub shower and double vanity. 2nd Queen Bed w/ balcony. Balcony has two Adirondack chairs. Bunk room w/ twin over full bunk bed. Hall bath w/ tub shower and vanity. Downstairs living room/dining/kitchen. Full kitchen w/ all appliances. Large sectional sofa. Cable tv and WiFi. Built-in Fire pit in backyard patio with 4 Adirondack chairs. (Bring your own wood or purchase at local Food Lion). Park style charcoal grill in backyard too. (Bring your own charcoal)
Advertised as 6 but has 4 beds and air mattress.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Start towels in washer
Take out trash
Leave dirty sheets on top of dryer
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No unregistered guests allowed. No smoking/vaping. No illegal drugs. No parties. No excessive drinking. Quite time at 10:00pm.

Ladies getaway

House was perfect for our ladies trip to Norfolk. Lots of room downstairs in the kitchen/living room area, bright and happy vibe and the beds were very comfy. Would definitely stay here again!

Slice of Heaven @ the lake

Enjoyed my visit at the lake house. It was nice and quaint. The neighbors were welcoming. Right in the middle of great restaurants and stores. Do not hesitate to book this listing you will not regret it!

Lovely home in great location

Staying at Betty’s home at was a highlight of our trip to Norfolk/Virginia Beach. The home is well kept and nicely laid out. It has everything you need and is within walking distance to the beach. We hope to stay there again in the future!

Great stay! Betty was extremely responsive and checkin process was extremely easy. House is equipped with everything that was needed to be able to settle in and start enjoying right away. Loved the beautiful backyard space as well!

We had a great short stay. Place was convenient around Norfolk and beach. It was a little time consuming going to williamsburg a couple of times through tunnel. We had a nice stay overall. Beds were comfy. Hostess very accommodating. Would stay again.

Only a short walk to the beach!

My friends and I stayed here for a short weekend get-away. It was a comfortable place with plenty of space for all of us. I had a question about the listing prior to booking and the property manager got back to me very quickly. The beach is only a short walk away (and there were dolphins)!

It was great!

Very nice and clean, and the checkout process was super clear. Used it for a wedding 'getting ready', and there was plenty of space for the hair and makeup people, who said it was great for lighting and space!

My high school friends and I like to get away and relax so that we can catch up and have a little break from the kiddos. This was a great spot where we could enjoy the bay and the beach. We didn’t have a chance to enjoy the firepit but wish we could have! Definitely recommend for a visit!

Perfect weekend!

I'm a Norfolk and Ocean View native and had the best time coming back home with my family for a short weekend. Betty's house is so comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the backyard fire-pit very much. We had 6 guests total but it never once felt crowded – perfect! Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Relaxing family weekend

The host was great with communication. The house was comfortable and clean. We were in the area for a wedding at the bay club so it was nice to be close by. The area was very walkable. We walked to a farmers market on Saturday morning and to a restaurant for brunch. The neighborhood is eclectic and honestly at first glance I was concerned about safety, but we never had any problems and the people we encountered on our walks were friendly.

Amazing!!

There truly are not enough stars to rate how wonderful this place is! It is immaculate and well stocked with anything you could ever need and more. Betty was an absolute pleasure to work with, and went overboard to make our stay a wonderful experience. She even put a Christmas tree up, which our three-year-old granddaughter was enthralled with! We will definitely be staying here whenever we are in town! Truly, a blessing to have found this beautiful place!

Great stay for a family with older kids

We visited our son in the Navy and had some friends come by too. Easy commute to the base for our son. Stairs are steep so not great if you have young kids or older people. Easy walk to the beach and several stores and restaurants nearby. Beds were comfortable and nice clean towels and bathrooms. TVs in every room. Fire pit in the yard was fun for s’mores.

Perfect Getaway

This house is relatively new and was perfect for our mini-vacation to the beach. It’s in a great location in a quiet neighborhood near the beach and other shops, museums, and restaurants. The place was spotless and is equipped with all the amenities of home. The host/property manager was gracious and very helpful with all her instructions. Although I didn’t speak with her in person, I could just tell that she is a friendly person just through her emails.

Bay Lake Escape is our 2nd short term rental. It was purchased in 2019 while in construction. We designed the home with all the amenities that you will enjoy while you are on vacation.
