This was our second year staying in this cabin and we had an even better time this year than last. Our favorite part of the property is the fire pit. We spent 99% of our stay out there, even cooking most of our meals over the fire. We went to the Blue Ridge Mountain Maze and Crabtree Falls. We also found the apple butter festival. Just a great stay in a great house. Thank you so much!!!!!!
This place was fantastic and extremely clean. Remote, but that is part of the charm. A true log cabin with some modern amenities (air, cable, etc).We will come back.
This is an awesome place. Worked perfectly for 12 family members from Colorado for a wedding in Waynesburo. Everyone loved it. Smores on the campfire; in the middle of the woods; very special place!
Our family loved this cabin! It was a great price for our family of 13 and made us all very comfortable. The weather was cool so we made a fire in the fireplace most days and even cooked on the wood stove one day! The house also has all the modern conveniences. The property is beautiful and well located. We were secluded but also only 30 minutes from most wineries. We would happily stay here again.
Beautiful cabin with plenty of room for our group of 5. Comfy beds, cozy living room, well stocked kitchen. Within easy driving distance of Charlottesville and other small towns with shops and restaurants. Susan was responsive to our questions. Nice seating outside with plenty of rocking chairs; enjoyed my morning coffee there daily!
We really enjoyed our stay! The house is very private and clean. Check in/out was easy with clear instructions and Susan was very accommodating with any requests or questions. We would definitely come back!
This is our third time staying at this lovely cabin for a weekend golf trip. It was just as fantastic as always this time. We loved the upgrades to the fire pit area. We are already planning to come again next year.
House is absolutely lovely! The five bedrooms with multiple beds in many, and four full bathrooms, were just perfect for our large family attending a wedding at pippin hill. The house has tons of charm, feels very historic, and also very comfortable. Its living and dining rooms are large - perfect for a large family. Read the owners instructions closely - and then reread them. They have tons of tips on locking doors, turning on the fridge, etc. the kitchen is well stocked with pots pans, paper towels, toilet paper, and paper products, but bring your own coffee and such - we were pleased we did. The house is up a two-way, very narrow road that becomes gravel for the last mile or so - with little traffic and lots of trees - so it’s beautiful. Our cars -two small and low to the ground and a mini suv - made it up the road with no problem, though we did feel more comfortable in the suv esp after heavy rain one evening (we’re more used to city driving, we admit!) A tree went down one night and we were thrilled how quickly and kindly the local fire dept responded. Grandma uses a walker and was great in the house but a bit challenged on the rock path to the house from the driveway. We should have read that part of the description more carefully, and the notes sent to us before were clear the house is not accessible. All that said, grandma had a great time and we were totally thrilled with it all overall
We absolutely loved our time at this cabin. It is rustic but we were completely comfortable there with a family of 14! We had 6 cars and there was room to park them all with no problem. The best part is the outdoor fire pit! It was all I could do to get the family to come inside at night!!
Charming cabin retreat with all the modern amenities and rustic charm. The owner was terrific and very responsive to some questions. Enjoyed hiking and proximity to wineries, cool evenings by the fire pit.
Great property, very secluded, everything as-advertised. A lot of character without being kitschy about it. Would stay again, everyone had a great time.
