About this property

Tiny house on a horse farm.

Tiny house sits on 10 acres in the back of a horse farm. Maybe the most peaceful place on earth. As you relax in front of a small pond you are surrounded by woods with marked walking paths. Your only neighbors are coyotes, possums, foxes, deer, turkeys, owls, eagles, and sandhill cranes. Tiny house means “tiny”. 175 square feet to be exact. Tiny house has a shower, toilet, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. House has no cooktop but there is a Weber grill outside. Home also has a full size pull out futon.Tiny house is 10 minutes to historic downtown Woodstock . Woodstock is so unique they filmed Groundhog Day and parts of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles there. You are also just 25 minutes to historic Richmond and Lake Geneva. As owners of the property we invite all guest to venture up to main house and barn to say hi to the horses and chickens. Mary and I enjoy sharing our beautiful farm.

Excellent stay at a horse farm!
We had everything we needed in the tiny house. We wished we could have stayed longer since Mary and Larry were wonderful hosts.

You should come!!! But don’t tell your friends.
This location is the perfect weekend getaway from Chicago. The horses were amazing and friendly; They have a small private pond where you can go fishing; They have the biggest fire pit I have ever sat at with unlimited firewood provided; The tiny home is just like any hotel room you’ve stayed at in a big city- For two people, for two nights, it was enough. You should definitely come- but if you tell all your friends and I can no longer come here for a weekend getaway- I’m gonna be mad.

We recently spent a weekend at Tiny House, it was an unforgettable experience! The farm location is incredibly peaceful and green, offering a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The scenery is stunning, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the horses. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. What made the visit truly exceptional was the hosts who were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene and enjoyable getaway. We can't wait to return!

A retreat in a woodland paradise
I took a solo trip to relax and reset before starting a new job and it was exactly what I was looking for. The simplicity of the space made it perfect for enjoying the outdoors. I’d anticipated the need to find local hiking trails, but with the ponds and marked trails on the property, I didn’t need to leave! Larry and Mary are both so kind and have done an incredible job curating such peace on their property. My time spent with the horses and the dogs was a cherry on top of the entire experience! I’m already looking forward to my next stay here!! ◡̈
