My family of 5 wanted a quiet relaxing Christmas break and that’s what we got! We spent the week of Christmas here and had a very enjoyable time. The home is a bit out dated on the outside but the warm, comfortable inside and peaceful landscape way made up for that.

The property was exactly as advertised. It was very quiet and peaceful. My family and I enjoyed the games. Especially the pool table. The property was easy to find. The host was easy to communicate with. I would recommend this property to friends and family.

Great place to stay, beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay! The house is spacious and the games were such a fun touch. We enjoyed playing pool! Beds were comfy, plenty of space to either be close and hang out with our family, and spread out when we wanted to rest. The views were beautiful! AC worked perfectly and kept us nice and cool on a hot summer day. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Stayed here with two other friends and our kids so we would be close to Colorado Bend state park. The property was beautiful and peaceful, especially looking out over the pond. The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy time together including lots of games indoors and outdoors. We also prepared most of our meals there and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook! We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful girls weekend at the Peaceful Country Retreat with my best friend and her two daughters. The house was perfect and very spacious and lots to keep the kids entertained without having to leave the house for the weekend. We caught so many good size bass and enjoyed cooking out and enjoying the back porch and the scenery. Kelly was very responsive and helpful when needed we can't wait to come back!

The prep and cleanliness of the place is top notch. The property is huge, we were able to play soccer too, its that huge. The pond behind the property is a place you want to have morning coffee. There are also many many games for adults as well as kids to use. Cornhole, darts and many more. I would say a best place for big family gatherings, ample parking, quite place, no issues of neighbors.

My family of 3 stayed with our 2 dogs for a few days. We had everything we needed and the home was so comfortable and accommodating. Waking up to the backyard view was absolutely peaceful each morning. The wine was a perfect touch, too! We are looking forward to returning one day. Thank you!

Excellent location, beautiful grounds, great host, all around great experience, also a good location if you want to take a trip to Colorado Bend State park, Gorman Falls is a short drive, followed by an excellent hike. Highly recommend
