Otter Lane Country Carriage House - Group Bachelor Suite

When you want to get away from the hustle of city living here is a new and very affordable Country Carriage House. Otter Lane is a warm and relaxing 450 square foot sanctuary located only one hour from downtown Vancouver. It boasts a fully contained bachelor suite above a detached garage situated on ten beautiful acres in South Langley. The farm consists of a year round pond, horse, chickens, and dog, plus resident barn owls and great horned owl. Construction on the Owner designed and built Carriage House was completed in September of 2011 and offers on-site parking, full internet access and plenty of privacy. This suite is fully equipped and tastefully furnished for comfort.
Conveniently located 15 minutes from the Trans Canada Highway (HWY #1), 5 minutes from the Aldergrove border crossing to the USA, 45 minutes from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal, 15 minutes from Abbotsford Airport (YXX), 50 minutes from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) , 15 minutes from Thunderbird Horse Show Park and about a 25 minute drive along quiet country roads to the Historic Village of Fort Langley.
Whether it is for business or pleasure, horse show or convention, weekend get-a-way or extended stay, our conveniently located coach house allows for quick and easy trips to your destination. Langley is considered the horse capital of British Columbia, but it also boasts fantastic golf courses, wineries, hiking trails, restaurants, shopping and the Vancouver Zoo.
Otter Lane Country Carriage House is a home away from home with everything you need for a relaxing few days or longer!

We had a wonderful time in this delightful and charming carriage house. This studio is well thought out and well equipped for making it feel like a home away from home. It has a peaceful beautiful atmosphere both in the space and outside. We wished we had planned to stay an extra day. Caroline was very clear and prompt with the communication and we appreciated the accommodation of being able to check in early. I would definitely recommend to anyone that this is a wonderful place to stay.

We loved the property. There is also an outside deck to enjoy. The hosts were lovely and hospitable. Everything was very clean, which I always appreciate! We live in Vancouver and just wanted a quiet getaway for thanksgiving weekend... it was perfect! Has everything you could need, full kitchen, washer/dryer, a huge balcony, and the cable has more channels than I've ever seen lol... close to wineries and we went out for dinner every night in Aldergrove, which was only 10 mins away. I was teasing afterwards that maybe they'd let me sign a 1 year lease on the place, but no dice :-) We'll definitely be coming out again!

Could not have hoped for a better place to stay a few weeks. Peaceful country setting with only the frogs, birds or horse to break the complete silence but less than :10 to town. Prepare to want to move here after your stay!

The carriage house was very well appointed with all the amenities we needed for our stay. The hosts were wonderful, friendly and welcoming. Great views, nice trails for a ride/walk. Close enough to town to be convenient, far enough away to very very quiet and safe. We will be back!!

We have lived in Langley all of our lives and moved to this property in 1997. It proved to be a wonderful place to raise our family and we continue to enjoy the quite serenity of the neighbourhood. My Husband and I both work in the construction industry so designing and building a carriage house was right up our alley. We have enjoyed Vacation Rentals and loved meeting people from across this continent as well as Europe.

Why they chose this property

We love the diversity of a hobby farm. The large Maple tree as well as the many cedar trees add to the calming serenity of the location ... and of course the year round pond. We love to watch the many birds that use our piece of Langley as their sanctuary.
