Welcome to Romance Ridge! Just 5 miles from the Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah National Park, Romance Ridge is equipped with all you need for your getaway. Privately nestled in the mountain side with view of the Shenandoah National Park. Featuring an open studio floor plan with king-sized bed, full bath, and fully equipped kitchen. Simply bring your bag and gourmet ingredients. Fresh, luxury linens are included in your stay. Enjoy the hot tub year round, and wood-burning fireplace October - March while you relax and unwind for the week or the weekend. Wireless internet access included. Also included are an iron, hair dryer, charcoal grill (bring charcoal), outdoor fire pit, and outdoor picnic table on lower deck. Please make yourself at home!

The host was extremely helpful and courteous. The property is extremely clean and well taken care of. Be prepared for some mountain gravel road driving. Definitely made the cabin feel rustic and secluded, which was exactly what we needed. The surrounding restaurants were very friendly and pet friendly. Be sure to check out the small chocolate shop on the way into town.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! It was incredibly clean, comfortable, and well kept when we arrived. The hot tub was super nice, especially after long days of hiking! Skyline Drive was only 6 miles away and there were a ton of cute shops and towns within a 20-50 minute drive, depending on how far you wanted to go. Kelly (Owner) was very responsive and welcoming before and after we arrived, which truly made all the difference. She made sure that had all the proper information we needed to be as comfortable as possible.100/10 recommend!

Beautiful place and great host. Me and my wife went for the long weekend and we loved the view and being away from the world for a bit. Only thing i did not like (not faulting the host or taking away a star) is there were no blinds or curtains on any windows but the bathroom. I might just be paranoid and other people have no problems with it. Overall great place will be back.

The cabin is so private, away from the world, that we put blinds above the bed and in the bathroom, so that the outdoors remains a feature throughout the rest of the cabin facing the woods. This cabin was perfect in every way for our New Year's getaway weekend! It's hard to find a place with both a jacuzzi and a wood-burning fireplace, so we were thrilled to find this and, of course, thoroughly enjoyed both. The cabin was spacious, perfectly clean, and had everything we needed. Also, the owner really went out of her way to help us have a wonderful stay, including helping us reconnect with an item we accidentally left behind! I highly recommend this cabin, and i know we will be back again!!

The host was very kind and helpful. The cabin is the perfect setting for a mountain getaway. We enjoyed the cozy fireplace for roasting s’mores and relaxed in the hot tub after strenuous hikes. It was a treat just to stroll along Turkey Ridge. We really could have never left the cabin and called it a perfect autumn trip.

Great place to stay if you are visiting Shenandoah NP

The cabin was in a perfect location for our visit to SNP. Everything was as advertised. Very clean, well stocked with everything we needed, host communication was great and the hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking in the park.

True cabin in the woods

If you're looking for solitude and privacy, this is your cabin. All the comforts of home and then some. Stayed here in early spring, would love to return in winter and summer.

Everything was very clean. We didn't use the kitchen much but everything was nice. We didn't use the hot tub. Nice and fresh towels.

We love the outdoors, and have a great appreciation for nature. We love to share the peace, tranquility, and romance of our cabin in the Shenandoah area. Why they chose this property

We chose to purchase this property, with hopes that we would relocate to the Charlottesville, VA area for its outdoor lifestyle. Our jobs keep us in Pennsylvania, but we enjoy 6-7 trips to Romance Ridge per year to take in the beauty and serenity of the mountains and hike the trails in the Shenandoah National Park.

What makes this property unique

Romance Ridge is located at the doorstep of the Shenandoah National Park, and is equidistant between University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and James Madison University in Harrisonburg. With two ski resorts close by at Masannutten and Wintergreen, it's not easy to choose! Luray Caverns is an easy day trip. There are numerous, breweries and vineyards in the area, along with antique shoppes, wildlife management areas, and country roads to explore and take in the undeveloped scenery. The Shenandoah Valley is rich with history, from Civil War trails to James Madison's Monticello, James Monroe's Ash Lawn, and James Madison's Montpelier. No matter your destination, we are sure you will enjoy the peace, solitude, and serenity of the cabin itself. Enjoy your stay!
