Our warm and inviting lodge-style house has a wonderful floor plan, plenty of storage space, and little extras (like games and puzzles) that make spending time in the mountains with friends and family special. It offers the best in mountain living, with easy access to the recreational amenities of Tahoe Donner in Truckee.

We are ideally located 2 blocks from the Trout Creek Recreation Center, snowplay area, sledding hill, The Lodge, Z-Market, hiking trails, the golf course and driving range. Whether it is summer, fall, winter, or spring, being able to walk to these amenities is priceless. Park your car on our level lot (fabulous in the winter time when everyone else is snowed in) and you can walk to most everything you need. Or open the French doors off of the dining room or master room and enjoy the quiet deck looking over the greenbelt.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES
In the summer, you can walk out the door and onto the network of hiking trails, the golf course, or visit the nearby equestrian, archery, or tennis centers. You can also enjoy the beach or rent a boat at the private Tahoe Donner Beach Club & Marina on Donner Lake.

Your guest passes allow you access(with a small fee)to the private beach and boathouse on Donner Lake, the two Tahoe Donner Clubhouses with pools, and the tennis courts.

Lake Tahoe is just 20 minutes away - a wealth of hiking, boating, fishing, and biking opportunities await – all just a few miles away.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
For winter guests, snowshoeing and cross country skiing are nearby. For serious downhill skiers, Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Sugar Bowl and Squaw Valley are just 15-20 minutes away. Or, take advantage of Tahoe Donner's own extensive ski facilities and avoid traffic and parking hassles. Tahoe Donner has the largest cross country ski facility in the Tahoe area. The Tahoe Donner Downhill ski slope is a gem for families- lessons start at age 3 and everyone under 6 skis free. Or, put on snowshoes (we have 2 adult pair and 1 child pair) and snow shoe right out the back door on the quiet greenbelt.

YEAR ROUND FUN
The Tahoe Donner amenities include the beautifully remodeled Trout Creek Clubhouse, with heated lap pool, hot-tubs, sauna and steam rooms and the expanded fitness center with its weight machines, exercise bikes, rowing machines, and other exercise classes. All amenities are accessible with your guest passes-and a small guest fee. For families with children, there is a wonderful playground at Trout Creek, swimming classes, and childcare in the morning hours (seasonal)

FABULOUS LAYOUT FOR MULTIPLE FAMILIES
The home is newly furnished with comfort and relaxation in mind, for those wanting a calm Sierra retreat, or for those wanting a gateway to the wealth of activities available in the Lake Tahoe area.

The lower level has an open dining/living/kitchen floorplan. The wood burning stove in the living room keeps the house nice and warm and makes for wonderful evenings of fireside reading (or watch TV/DVDs). The kitchen is well equipped for either quick or complicated meals. The dining table seats 8 and the kitchen counter has seating for an additional 3-4 persons. Downstairs features the master suite with queen-size bed, large closet, and bathroom with shower and two-person jacuzzi tub. There is also a guest room with queen size bed and bathroom with shower across the hall. The living room and the master bedroom open onto the deck, offering gorgeous views of the greenbelt.

The upper level has a two bedrooms and one bathroom. The upper level has a nice den with HDTV and DVD player, allowing for some separation between noisy and quieter activities.

We recently replaced all of the bedding. You'll sleep well on our amazing new ultra-thick elite mattresses pads/bed and snuggle under lovely Ralph Lauren duvets/down comforters.
