Property was set back from road with a nice fire pit in the yard. House was clean, decorated nicely, and had a welcoming cozy feel.

Thank you for your kind words. We're glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting, fire pit, and cozy atmosphere of the house. We appreciate your stay and hope to welcome you back soon!
Beautiful home with everything we could’ve imagined, and more. So many nice touches. Everything was very clean and neat and new. Clear instructions were marked on items that required them. We enjoyed the fire pit, wrap around porch etc. We visited friends in Bethlehem and did hikes activities etc in Franconia Notch. We would definitely love to come back to this house another time!

What a great place for a romantic get away. After getting married on Friday, 6/21, my wife and I wanted a getaway spot where it felt like we were all alone. While close to a lot of fun “things to do”, we felt this place fully met our expectations. While some parts of the house was under construction, the areas we had direct access to were very nice. We loved staying here and appreciated the booking agents checking in with us from time to time, to ensure that everything was in good order.

This house was so well planned. Despite it's listed small size, it easily house all 7 of us, with room to spare. The only two things I would have changed: I would have brought a hair dryer. In this day and age, I was surprised there wasn't one, and I was definitely not photogenic without one. Also, the wood stove was broken. Yes it was summer, so getting it fixed was not urgent, but it would have been nice on one of the colder nights.Otherwise, I'd go back to this house in a minute. It was amazing.
This is a gorgeous home. Worked out very well for us. The only issue we had was the listing was booked for 2 bathrooms and upon arrival, only 1 was functioning. Made it a rough week with 7 people in the house. Once the basement construction is done, this will be a solid rental for large families. Loved it and we will be back.

Thank you for such a positive review! We greatly appreciate it and are so glad you had a good experience with us. We'd love to welcome you back.
For future guests looking at this listing, I wanted to clarify the bathroom situation. This property has 1 bathroom as the listing shows. The description does mention a second bathroom on the lower level that is still incomplete and not ready for guest use. We will update our listing to indicate 2 bathrooms once the 2nd bathroom is ready for use.
Thank you again for your review and we hope to welcome you back at Bretton Woods Vacations!
We have been going up to this area in NH for the past 10 years for Super Bowl weekend and have rented from various places. This cabin was a fantastic experience for a family of 9 adults and our pup! Beautiful place! By far our best rental! Plenty of space for all of us and cozy! Bethlehem was such a great little town, Rek-lis Brewing is exceptional, fantastic food! The hosts were very attentative with communication when needed, not that we did for anything but basic questions. We are booking again for next year! Thank you! Southbridge, Ma
First, let me share that the property was as pictured and described. If we did not have mechanical issues, we would have given the property a 5 star rating. More specifically the AC was broken and we chose this property specifically because it had AC.We were notified by the Property Manager about an hour before our arrival that AC was not working. Upon arrival, we contacted the Property Manager who was alway polite, always apologized for the inconvenience and always thanked us for our patience. During this call, they offered to bring fans and provided no ETA on when the AC might be repaired. The next morning after some persistence on our part they did bring a portable AC unit and committed to repairing the AC system on Monday (it was Saturday). Starting Monday and continuing until Friday, the committed to repairing the AC system each day and each day no repair took place. By Thursday evening, we decided to leave two days earlier than planned as the portable AC units were simply to loud and poorly installed (see photo). They did finally repair the AC system as we were leaving that Friday. What was really frustrating is that the Property Manager continually blamed the property owner. We made it clear that we rented from the Property Manager and not the owner. While always professional, the Property Manager set and missed our expectations 5 times upon which we decided to cut our losses and leave two days early.

Dear Barry,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly understand your frustration and wish the situation had unfolded differently. Of course, the fact that you stated on Google that it would have been a 5-star review had it not been for an issue outside of our control is comforting - we can only control what we do, not what a contractor does when an appliance breaks. It seems like the one star should be for the AC installer rather than for us!
In this case, the AC had been installed recently, and understandably, the owner preferred to have the original installer return to address the issue under warranty. It's important to clarify that we weren't "blaming the owner," but the owner was handling the repair through the installer, so we had little control over it except for what was communicated to us. While that choice is not uncommon—especially with new equipment—it did mean that we had to wait on their availability rather than rely on our usual, faster-response local technicians. The installer assured us that the repair would be completed promptly, but as you experienced, those promises were not fulfilled in a timely manner. Once it became clear that delays would continue, the owner authorized us to move forward with our own technicians, and the repair was completed within 24 hours of that decision.
Throughout the process, we did our best to keep you informed with the information we had. Unfortunately, when we’re not directly in control of a repair, we’re at the mercy of third-party scheduling and updates, which can be frustrating for everyone involved. That said, we made every effort to keep the home comfortable in the meantime. We promptly delivered a high-end 14,000 BTU portable AC unit, which is more than sufficient for the home’s size. When you requested a second unit, we agreed to provide one—even though the team on-site found the home cool and comfortable (in fact, he said he was comfortable in a sweatshirt, and added that it was rather cool even outside). Let's please note that the high temperature on the day you requested a second unit was 67F, after a low of 51F. Given that we knew there wasn't a good place to place a second unit AND the fact that AC was not even needed at all in those temperatures, you can see our hesitation. But we did it anyways for your benefit. You wanted it to cool the bedroom but not be in the bedroom, and our team used what I find to be a rather creative solution to meet your needs. i appreciate your desire to add pictures, but that solution was achieved with you present and upon your request, so it seems a bit misguided. You told yourself to one of our team members that you knew that there was no good way to achieve what you were trying to do, so it seems a bit strange to post pictures of their solution and put it in a negative light when you yourself asked for it and recognized that it was the only way to achieve your desired objective, Of course, you also mentioned to one of our team members that you were quite comfortable, as the house was cool, but that you wanted "to make us miserable." Our goal was always to ensure your comfort, not to debate the technical adequacy of the solution - and I'm not sure that any solution would have been adequate given your objective of "making us miserable." We were informed that the issue would be fully resolved the next morning, and it was. At that point, the home had working central AC in addition to two portable units, but we understand you decided to leave anyway. We believe the compensation offered was fair given the temporary inconvenience and the efforts made to address it.The statement that the house "lacked AC" is incorrect, as you had 26,000 BTUs of AC - which is enough to keep the house downright cold in our mountain climate. Our team members worked hard to assist you throughout your stay, and while we always welcome constructive feedback, we hope guests will also recognize the commitment and energy our staff puts into resolving issues—especially when circumstances are out of our control. It is also to be noted publicly that after all of this, you reversed payment on the entire reservation, which I find highly unethical and immoral, given that you enjoyed a stay at the unit for over a week. I hope this serves as a warning to other owners that are looking to host you.
Thank you again for your time, and we hope that despite this issue, you enjoyed other aspects of your time in the area.
Warm regards,
Alex
