My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay! It was secluded, quiet, and clean, with the most incredible view of the river. We highly recommend staying here for a relaxing getaway.
Excellent stay! The cabin was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was responsive and helpful, and everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. The fireplace was a nice touch, and the property was peaceful and relaxing. We had no issues during our stay and would definitely come back again.
Loved the cabin. You can hear the stream from the front door. Great for taking a break from civilization with still having running water. Would definitely recommend
My wife and I wanted a getaway weekend away from our city life and this place exceeded our expectations. We never turned on the TV and enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the river outside our door. We are coming back again and again and again. Thank you Adam for sharing your amazing cabin and property.
Fantastic location, with the river right outside the door! Very relaxing and cozy, a good place to unplug! I did have to learn how to properly use a fireplace without smoking the place out! Very close to hiking and skiing if that's your thing.
We needed a quiet place for the weekend. This one was great. Right on the river. Open the windows or door and you hear the sound of the river flowing by. Will be back for another visit.
We’ve stayed here multiple times. Very peaceful & cozy experience each time- the mattress could use some updating & next time we will remember to bring our own pillows.
The property was gorgeous! I loved how close we were to the water. The waterfalls and the area surrounding them was very peaceful and maybe a 3 minute walk away, so close to the cabin. The basic essentials were provided but if you felt like you needed anything extra, there were multiple places nearby like CVS, Dollar General, Wawa, and Dunkin. There were great restaurant selections, we tried Jubilee and loved it. We also went to Nick’s Lake House which we enjoyed. My boyfriend really enjoyed the fishing, caught over 30 fish. The communication with the host was good. The wifi wasn’t the strongest but it got the job done. The tv worked good for when it was raining. The only thing that I do have to point out and the only reason everything isn’t 10/10 is the mold on the bedroom ceiling. I understand it’s a cabin and it’s difficult to maintain the moisture level, especially in its location, but in case you have any respiratory issues, I felt like it is something to be aware of. I would still stay again!!
The cabin is beautiful, peaceful. Just what we needed. The owners are very nice and communicative. We were there coldest weekend of the year, and cabin still warm and cozy! Thank you for the stay!
The cabin and the view of the river were perfect. Even though there were properties pretty close, the positioning of the cabin made it feel like it was secluded which is exactly what we had hoped for. We didn’t get the weather we had hoped for (40 degrees with rain in May?!) but were very happy to be able to start a fire in the fireplace and adjust our plans to just cozy in. The one odd thing was that the thermostats in the cabin required regular attention. They would either not run or run nonstop. It wasn’t necessarily a problem or downside, just something we noted.
With a long family history right here in the Stoddartsville / Blakeslee area, dating back to the early 1800's, I feel very privileged for the opportunity to share this beautiful spot with those who appreciate all that nature has to offer. In all my travels, I haven't found a place more peaceful and relaxing than right here in Stoddartsville. The air is clean and crisp and the sounds of the river flowing by allow you to truly recharge and getaway from the rush of daily life.
What makes this property unique
The views of the Lehigh River from the cabin are spectacular year-round. The privacy offered by this unique setting creates a true escape from the stresses of daily life.
