The Cozy Cottage was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed — we’d happily stay again. As longtime hosts ourseloves, we appreciate the attention to detail.Just two small notes: there’s some road noise, and the bedroom steps could use a bit of contrast or tape for visibility in the dark.

Little home away from home

We had a good and comfortable stay. Whatever issue we had was addressed with the property manager.

Charming cabin in the Berkshires

Lovely log cabin in the north Berkshires. Charming decor. Fully equipped, but the bathroom is quite small. Large yard with fire pit. Address is shown as Williamstown, but it seems to be in Hancock.

Comfortable (and cozy) getaway

The cabin was perfect for our family and pup. It was perfectly appointed -- just the right mix of convenience and simplicity. The location was great being fairly close to several downtown spots as well as the ski resort. The house is on a main road, but that didn't bother us because the backyard was flat and open. The host was terrific and responds quickly to questions. The host ws fantastic and responsive.

Beautiful!

We loved how clean the house was. How it looked rustic but also felt new and cared for with the modern touches. Looked up the blanket on the couch because I want one of my own! We didn’t love the main road sounds but liked that we had totally privacy from other houses close by since our dogs bark and we don’t want to disturb anyone. The back yard was beautiful and private too. Definitely want to come back and hike more and relax more and would stay here again for sure!

Berkshire & Chill

The cottage was super cute with sweet rustic decor. Not huge but plenty of space for a family with 2-3 kids. Bathroom is small but it is clean and the water pressure in the shower/bathtub is good. Noting the shower may feel cramped for a person taller than six feet. The backyard space is larger than expected, and it has a grill, Adirondack chairs surrounding a fire pit, and a picnic bench. The property is right across the street from the Bloom Meadows event/wedding venue. It is close to Jiminy Peak and it is about 10 min from Williams College, so the convenience is helpful. We would book again the next time we want to visit the Berkshires.

While the home was decorated beautifully, our overall experience was very disappointing due to poor communication and unresolved maintenance issues. We never received check-in or check-out instructions, nor any of the basic property information that guests should be provided—such as the WiFi password or general house guidelines. Despite having our reservation paid in full well in advance, we were forced to reach out to the host on the day of travel to obtain information that should have been sent automatically. When I expressed concern to the host about the lack of communication, I was assured that additional details would follow. Unfortunately, nothing was sent. We had to follow up again, and we did not receive the necessary information until hours after we had already arrived. This lack of responsiveness added unnecessary stress and made the beginning of our stay much more difficult than it needed to be.To make matters even worse, the shower did not work at all. This is a basic and essential amenity, and its failure significantly impacted our stay. My 3-year-old and I were able to manage with wash-ups in the tub, but this was not a workable solution for my husband. It is completely unacceptable that such a major issue was not disclosed in advance or resolved before guests arrived.Overall, the communication, preparedness, and functionality of the property fell far below the standard we expect when booking through Vrbo. We left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.
