Villa Maya is a modern, eye catching house nestled in nature and filled with comfortable spaces for you to enjoy, located in the tranquil neighbourhood of Sabadeco. Only 10 minute drive to the grocery stores and the centre of Kralendijk but you will feel peaceful in the surrounding nature. This villa has it all - a luxurious pool, comfortable porch with ocean views and all amenities for foodies who love to cook some of Bonaire's fresh fish and produce,

The large open plan living area leads to the deck with shaded and sunny areas and plenty of comfy furniture to enjoy relaxing by the pool. Our newly renovated kitchen is equipped with a double oven and gas cooktop and all utensils you need for cooking indoors or on the gas grill. Dine indoors or al fresco!
Tucked away on the ground floor are the 2 master suites, both with en-suites and beautiful views of the garden. Upstairs holds two more cosy double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and balconies, a private space for morning coffee or a sunset yoga session.

Villa Maya is a fully equipped for divers, with a garage on property to safely store your gear, a double basin rinse tank for your convenience and an outdoor shower.
The property has a safe, gated parking and an alarm with response from a local security company.

Best House Ever

Best house ever View is fantastic Property is exactly as reviewed online House has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation as divers or non divers or a mix of both house is in a quiet & private area , so you won't hear any noise from neighbors amble parking for 4-6 vehicles rinse tanks & hanging racks are wonderful every bedroom has a private bathroom kitchen has everything you need to cook & a cooler for on the go! washing machine is perfect & outside drying rack is big beautiful pool & plenty of beach towels for pool or beach I can't say enough good things about this house or property

Amazing views and perfect property!

Amazing house! What you see is what you get and even more! Loly was so informative and was the perfect hostess upon our arrival and departure. The house was very well appointed and the kitchen was great for all of the cooking we did while in Bonaire. The pool was awesome and was perfectly positioned to be swimming and looking at the ocean. Great spot to sit with some morning coffee. Great dining spaces inside and outside (where we spent a majority of our time). The rinse tanks and area for dive gear was exactly what we needed. We were far enough outside of town to catch some the meteor shower during our stay. Rob and Loly provided great communication prior to and during our stay. Thank you for sharing this wonderful property. Highly recommended!

The location and grounds of this property are lovely. The pool overlooking the ocean is absolutely stunning. The actual house is very nice. We enjoyed several gorgeous sunsets on the balcony upstairs. I don't know how you could ask for a better view. We spent the evenings playing cards outside overlooking the ocean. Very peaceful. The reason for the negative review: the kitchen is pitifully appointed: one towel and a sponge provided to clean kitchen, nonstick pans were beyond use (flaking, scratched, warped) no wine opener...lids and pans didn't match up, several of the plates were chipped..so on and so forth. The listing states that the kitchen is well equipped, it is not. If you plan on cooking anything, this is not the place for you.The other reason for the lower rating is that we were told we had a generous electricity budget. When we asked about the cost of running the AC during the day, the agent told us it would be around an additional 100. We were charged an additional 270. I would have enjoyed a little more transparency.

The gorgeous ocean view is amazing!!

Villa Maya has a stunning pool, outdoor deck area over looking the ocean! It was amazing!!! Also the view from the upstairs patios - off each bedroom is also amazing! The interior of the house is nicely decorated and functional. The kitchen is very well equipped and fun to cook in! My husband and I had the villa to ourselves, which was obviously more space than we needed, but it didn’t feel awkwardly big. I think it might feel a bit cramped with 8 adults staying there. They also have a great security system. The staff was super helpful if we needed them. The location of the house is great for getting around and being away from most of the cruise ship busyness. The snorkeling out front was great. Don’t miss a drive down the south side of the islands to see the salt mountains. Over all an amazing experience!

Beautiful Spacious Villa - Gorgeous View, Safe Area

This home was everything the photos depicted. The property is immaculate, the pool is clean and the home is well maintained. It's also very well designed for guests to interact together but to also have privacy in their own bed and bathrooms that are spaced far apart. Air conditioners in each bedroom work well, making sleep comfortable. The home is built in a theatre style with the ocean view as the star of the show. You can look out from any room or deck off the home and see it. Beautiful! The property managers will go out of their way to make sure you have what you need, there was even wine and beer waiting when we checked in! They provided a phone for us to use and called once to check and make sure all was well. This place was a perfect home base for divers and non divers alike. The gear wash tubs and drying rack were so handy! I can't mention everything here but its safe to say you won't be disappointed. Luxury accomdations don't always come at a steep price. This is a very fair deal for everything you get. Note: I received a strange note from HomeAway shortly before our stay that indicated there was a security issue with a property I had inquired about. It was NOT this property. Don't be concerned about this listing, what you see is what you get, plus some. :)

2021 Bonaire trip

My family and I spent one week here. I am writing an honest review of this rental and if I returned to Bonaire I would not stay here again. Positives of this rental: The most amazing aspects of this house are the grounds and the pool. The grounds are breathtaking with an amazing view of the ocean. The pool was sparkling and very clean. We even had a resident iguana that took a swim every morning. Negatives: The description of the house says recently renovated. In my opinion the house needs a complete renovation. The tiles are brown stained and cracked. The toilets would work and then not work. You can’t run two showers at once as one of the showers will be cold. The towels and bedding is stained (I have pictures but unable to post). My daughter’s bedding looked like it was blood stained. The kitchen is not stocked well with storage and corning ware. The house could benefit from a complete paint job. We did have problems with ants and Karen did rectify the ant problem immediately. My air conditioner broke and woke me up in the middle of the night because it was pouring water out of the unit. In my opinion, not worth $295 per night plus all the additional VRBO fees and extra per person charges. You can find a much better rental in Bonaire for this price. I hope this helps as I hate writing negative reviews.

Spectacular home with all amenities for relaxing, cooking, diving

First, Kristen, the property manager was more than helpful and accommodating. Any questions I had were swiftly responded to with courtesy and helpfulness. She organized a special birthday cake for my daughter, and it was delivered exactly on the day needed. Second, WOW. This house is incredible and exactly what our family needed; all separate sleeping quarters—divided with two up/two down—each has its own en-suite. No bathroom sharing is something of luxury! The infinity pool, outdoor patio seating, lounging, and dining area with gas grill was spectacular. The garden flourished with beautiful vegetation, colorful parrots, hummingbirds, and iguanas. All towels were provided for outdoor use, and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the outdoor time we could get. Each day was filled with snorkeling, scuba diving, and exploring. The outdoor shower and two gear-washing stations with storage for our equipment exceeded our expectations! Each night, we retreated to this paradise home in its quiet and secluded little neighborhood. Definitely recommend and we would book again should we be fortunate enough to get back to Bonaire.

Gorgeous Villa

This is one of the best VRBOs I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. It was light, bright, and airy with stunning views. I loved being a few minutes outside of town. It was perfectly peaceful and gorgeous. Downtown Kralendijik is just a short drive away. Plenty of beaches and snorkel spots super close to the villa.

Wow- best ever!

We vacation each year with another couple and have rented numerous properties in the Caribbean, Villa Maya is by far the best we have encountered- a perfect set up with 2 en suite bedrooms/bathrooms with king size beds. The pool and outdoor space was superb, and the views breathtaking. A great location and so nice of an area we actually met with a realtor while there to discuss property in the subdivision. Kristen and Karen were attentive to every need/question. We would highly recommend this property for the perfect Bonaire vacation!

Wow!!!

Amazing property, such a relaxing trip. Beds are really hard, but with a cocktail or two, who cares! The place was amazing, pool was amazing, resident iguana's were very friendly too. Just an unbeatable trip. Large dining table makes for great meal times as well.

Great...really enjoyed our time!!

Our family had a great time at the Villa Maya. The house worked well for us...each couple was able to have their own bedroom and en suite. We spent a lot of time out in the pool area...the canopy area was great if someone wanted to be outside but not in the sun. Our only suggestion would be in the kitchen area. We had one roll of paper towel for the week and had to ask for another dish rag and two more kitchen towels early in the week. If you want something specific, you will have to purchase on the island or bring with you...this goes for spices to paper products in the kitchen. Overall, we would definitely recommend the house and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Minor things were not available at the house that we (probably) have taken for granted at other places we have rented. Yes, you definitely do have to stagger your showers to ensure everyone gets warm water with pressure. Fortunately, our timing was great...we avoided the "polar vortex" back in Wisconsin. Enjoy your time at Villa Maya!!!!

serene location

we had a good time at this property, liked the layout of the bedrooms and pool. The kitchen could be stocked a bit better with more utensils, sturdier spatulas and better pots and pans. we had 2 birthdays during our stay and there was not a baking pan. We bought one that we left there. AC was great in all rooms and the living area. One thing that we didn't like was that the living area was a 2 story on tile flooring, which made any conversation echo throughout and hard to hear if you weren't directly in front of someone. It was great to have a rinse tank conveniently located at the drive way. While there was not a dryer, clothes dried on the spacious clothes line quickly. It was nice that each room had it's own bathroom. overall good stay.

You just found Paradise......

The pictures do not do this property justice. The view is simply amazing and the house is beautiful! Lots of trees, flowers, hummingbirds and of course the resident lizards!This property is centrally located, private and quiet with all the amenities. The two bedrooms upstairs were perfect for the young adults and the two Master suites downstairs were ideal for us "older" Adults! lol Loved the open concept with the kitchen, dining room and living area. This was a bonus in bringing everyone out of their rooms and together socializing. This vacation was for a group dive trip and in the end we had a surprise proposal! From the very first moment that we contacted Kristen and Carlyn from Island Time Rentals all our questions were answered and our worries were no more. These ladies are top notch in everything that they do. We were met at the airport by Carlyn as promised. And Kristen met us at the property with keys in hand and Champagne on ice. What more could you ask for? I have to say, both of these ladies went above and beyond to cater to us. We were never left wanting for anything. Through the connections that these ladies have, we were able to save $$$$ on our diving needs as well as the car rental. They handled eveything for us with the utmost professionalism. They were even in on the proposal planning and handled the flowers, cake and drinks discreetly and behind the scenes. This property along with Kristen and Carlyn made our vacation a memorable one! I can not say enough about the beauty of the property as well as the kindness of these two ladies. We will be back and secure all future bookings with Island Time Rentals. You should too! You will not be disappointed :)

Fun house to share with friends

Dennis and Kristen were incredibly responsive to emails ahead of time. Kristen even helped us with our car rental through Avis. The house was beautiful and as advertised in pictures. Dennis met us there and gave a thorough overview of everything. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are clean, and we enjoyed the iguanas and birds that met us every day. They also had a groundskeeper who appeared several times to tend to the beautiful flowers and trees on the property. Having the garage onsite and the sink next to it was ideal for the 8 divers we had staying there so we could wash and dry our items each night. Many morning coffees and afternoon hangouts were enjoyed in the hammock and by the pool. Several things that weren't listed in the listing though that would have been good to know ahead of time are that there is a cap on energy usage and you are charged if you use more electricity than that, and that if water is running via a toilet flushing, or someone else is taking a shower, you cannot have another shower running at the same time as the water pressure comes to a complete halt. Not a huge deal, but would have been good to know in advance. Overall, we had a good stay in the house and would recommend it to others. Thank you for the hospitality!

Our stay at Villa Maya was excellent, with great help from Kristen and Dennis at Island Time Bonaire, who arranged truck rentals, stocked the fridge for arrival and ordered pizzas in for us for our first night, as we arrived late. We had a great time at the pool and out diving. The rinse basins and gear hanging facilities were greatly appreciated.

Great home base for Divers!

We loved our house on the hill in Bonaire. Villa Maya was spacious and offered each couple enough privacy to make our home away from home for three couples very comfortable for the week. Our "house reef", Andrea 1&2, was easily accessible with a quick drive and was the highlight of our trip for evening night dives and snorkels. It was neat to be able to use the house as a landmark for navigation since it is directly up the hill from the sites! The kitchen in Villa Maya was well equipped and we cooked most meals at home. You will notice that the service at restaurants is rather slow and to us was a waste of time and money since we had such a gorgeous place to return to in the evening. While I missed getting into a made bed at night and a tidied room at the end of a long day of diving like we would have at a hotel it was worth the trade for a private pool, a large kitchen, and a dunk tank and drying area and some privacy from the masses of divers and cruise ships folks that tend to congregate at the hotels and town area. Island Time was quick to respond to anything that needed attention at the house during our stay. Each said that they would stay in the house again if we returned and I agree. This was my first time renting a home in Bonaire and I will continue to do this rather than hotels in the future on the island. Our diving services were expertly handled by VIP diving. The prices were great, the tanks were in perfect shape, the drive-through was fast and efficient, and the free European style coffee was a major hit with our group. The staff was kind and courteous. We had some equipment issues in the group and they were able to help us which was awesome! I recommend that you work with them while you are on the island. I would definitely recommend this property and to work with Island Time during your visit to Bonaire. The view is unbeatable and diving is MAGICAL!

BETTER THAN THE PICTURES......TRUE PARADISE

We booked this property over a year in advance and from that point on, everything pertaining to making this trip amazing went off without a hitch! Kristin was fantastic to work with during the booking process. She checked in with us periodically throughout the year to touch base and see what our interests were while in Bonaire. She even booked our rental truck for us and got us a 20% discount! We've been to Bonaire a few times and know our way around, so we opted to meet Dennis (our point of contact during our stay) at the house but he also offered to meet us at the airport. He greeted us happily with some cold beers which were MUCH appreciated after a long day of traveling. Dennis quickly and thoroughly explained everything to us regarding the security system, the remote to open the gate and the garage, the electricity allowance, etc. We did not have any questions after he left. He left us with a prepaid cell phone just incase and extra minutes to add if we went over. There was even a welcome bag with some Dutch goodies in it as well as some cute Christmas decorations! Now on to the house....WOW WOW WOW!!! We traveled with a two year old who is on the go BUT thankfully the entire property is surrounded by a wall/fencing so even a quick youngster can't escape. A port-a-crib was also provided for us. :) The kitchen is state of the art and we enjoyed making most of our meals at the house! We fired up the grill a few times too. The layout of the house is PERFECT. We were able to retreat to our individual rooms and not hear a peep from any other room if desired. I love that each room has it's own bathroom with shower!!! The dunk tanks and shower by the garage are perfect for divers! The hammock on the deck was fought over daily....as well as the outdoor couch.....both are perfect for napping. I cannot speak enough about the gorgeous view! We enjoyed lounging in the pool most days while spying on Klein Bonaire with binoculars. Watching the sailboats drift by as well as the cruise ships was also a lot of fun. The big iguanas also come right up to the deck! The only wish I have is that we could have stayed longer! We have been to Bonaire many times and this is by far the best place we have stayed at!

This property is a dream! We loved the big modern home! The large bedrooms are positioned to give you lots of privacy, while still giving you a large common area in between. We enjoyed meals, conversation and a card game at the large dining table. The kitchen made preparing meals easy for a large group. Our favorite area was the outdoor space. The views are incredible! The pool was a great spot to unwind after a long day of diving. We enjoyed morning coffee at the outdoor seating area, and some evening meals on the large patio table. The rinse tanks and garage space were perfect for dive gear. Kristen was a great property manager and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. She met us on arrival and showed us the house, explaining every detail to us. She also provided us with a local cell phone to call her if we needed anything--and we did! She helped us with a few minor problems and checked in on us a couple times during the week. We would definitely rent again from Island Time if we are ever in Bonaire again!

Villa Maya - Excellent house for divers

Kristen, Dennis, Solomon, and the Island Times crew are great to work with. Informative and organized, helpful without being intrusive. Home is amazing with gorgeous pool and views. Four bedrooms with en suite bathrooms was perfect for our crew of 8 (3 couples and two teenagers). Garage is perfect for storing gear and tanks securely and rinse tanks next to garage are ideal. Lots of lizards and iguanas to keep everyone amused and to clean up any vegetable and fruit scraps. House is easy to find and known by every company we worked with in Bonaire. Close to north side dive sites with pristine reefs and beautiful coral gardens. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, spacious and well equipped home in quiet Sabadeco

We stayed at Villa Maya in June with our large family---two parents, an uncle and four young adult children. This was our second stay in this convenient and comfortable home. Lots of space to spread out and have time alone---big hammock on deck, nice outdoor seating, two large tables (indoor and out), indoor seating area and an office. We like to cook and appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and grill. Beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels. We are seven divers and we were very grateful to have an excellent set-up: two large, built-in rinse tanks, an outdoor shower adjacent to the garage where we could store our equipment. View is dreamy and the neighborhood is quiet. Drive to the Van Den Tweel is about 10 minutes. Zhung Khong supermarket is a short five minutes down the road. The management at Island Time Rentals was also very responsive to any questions or needs during our visit. We were very happy to call Villa Maya "home" for our two-week stay.
