Family Funeral

We came in fir a close family member funeral in Lecompte and we needed 2 nights and 3 days and a place to fix food for the repast. This rental felt like home.

Unsafe Neighborhood

This property is not a 4 bedroom house as the listing suggests. It is a 3 bedroom duplex. The first night was pretty peaceful. Saturday night was scary. The duplex neighbors threw a party with loud hip hop music. Which was tolerable. Until they started trying to get into our part of the house around 11pm. They tried multiple times to enter. We ended up calling the cops and left in the middle of the night to make our trip home. I told the property manager the next day and he made excuses for them. He said the people probably didn't realize it was a duplex. I told him, they were trying to enter the back door and had their phone lights on trying to break in. He said I should've called him instead of the cops so he could take care of it and that his number was on the fridge. I told him, when you are worried about the safety of your family, you are not going to stop and think, Hmm, let me call the property manager. On a great note, the cops showed up very quickly. We were worried about retaliation so we left.
