Located along the outskirts of the Red River Gorge Scenic Byway, this cabin is perfectly situated to host travelers who are seeking both privacy and convenience. Spend a leisurely afternoon at the cabin surrounded by nature or take a short drive to explore the area and all the beauty that it has to offer.
The Briar Patch was thoughtfully designed to host anywhere from 1 to 6 people without making guests feel too cramped or in a space that’s too large to feel comfortable. Its rustic interior creates the perfect mood for this dreamy mountaintop vacation home.
This cabin features a king bedroom on the main floor. You can binge watch episodes of your favorite tv series on the 50” smart tv, or if you prefer a more quiet bedtime routine, enjoy the peacefulness of near zero outside noise infiltration. Wake up and pull back the curtains on the windows that look out to the gorgeous wooded surroundings. Upstairs in the spacious loft area, other guests will experience a comfortable night’s sleep as well. This is a great space for adults and children alike, with a queen bed and two twin beds. It allows for a semi-private escape for couples or an ideal setup for kids to have their own vacation space. Easy access to the loft with a custom built stow-away ladder makes having access to this extra space even better.
The living room is spacious enough to accommodate everyone for family game night around the warm glow of the electric fireplace. The attached kitchen area makes cooking up a meal for friends simple and easy. Everything is within an arm’s reach and with a blend of both vintage and modern amenities, guests are sure to love putting this space to use.
A full bathroom on the main level makes for easy access for all guests with “Jack & Jill” doors opening from both the living room and the king bedroom. A washer and dryer is great to have for rinsing all of the dirt away from the exciting adventures you’re sure to have!
Through the atrium-style full glass doors in the living room, step out onto the spacious back deck where all of your stresses are sure to melt away. An outdoor dining table, bed swing and rocking chairs are all inviting seating options to relax and bask in the sunsets each evening. Mornings can be spent with a hot cup of coffee or a chapter or two with your favorite book, surrounded by tranquil sounds of nature.
At the front of the cabin, a sizable deck area provides an easy entryway from the gravel walkway and parking area. The fire pit awaits S’mores and campfire stories while under the night sky. There’s very little light pollution here, making this side of the property top notch for stargazing!
Either way you choose to spend your time here, will be time well spent! Even the drive out to the property is pleasant and full of idyllic scenery.

Loved it, quiet out of the way clean had all the amenities that we required and some we didnt think we needed that really saved our butts. beautiful place with a great story.
This cabin is so beautiful! Its small, but there is plenty of room, everything is clean and well taken care of, and beds were very comfortable. The property was beautiful and relaxing. The only downside is that it takes awhile to get to everything, but that's to be expected. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back!

Briar Patch cabin is a perfect retreat. The cabin is beautiful and secluded with a perfect back porch for dining or relaxing. Excellent communication with Jessica (host). Definitely plan to return!
Very nice cabin. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed our stay but the neighbors dog barking nonetop was a little aggravating but we still enjoyed our time there.
The Briar Patch is EXCEPTIONAL! Absolutely stunning property! We were so impressed at the craftsmanship, cleanliness and overall comfort of this cabin! Jessica made our stay spectacular and we will be back!

This cabin is very clean and has everything you need. The owner’s responses were very quick and kind. English is not my first language, but they explained everything clearly through chat, and the instructions for using the facilities were simple and easy to understand, so I felt very comfortable during my stay. I highly recommend this cabin.

Probably one of the best places we've stayed, and we've stayed in several cabins as we've traveled to hike. The beds were comfy, the cabin was clean and very well stocked. Thank you so much!

The cabin was exactly as depicted in the listing. I stayed for a solo trip to unwind and disconnect and this cabin was perfect! Highly recommend and I plan to return in the future!
Perfect little cabin with a lovely back porch and a cozy, antique indoor feel. The cabin was thoughtfully prepared with almost everything we needed, and checkout was refreshingly simple. We cooked the perfect meal using the charcoal grill outside and the stove indoors, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The only small downside, not the host’s fault, was the neighboring property before the cabin. Other than that, it was an absolutely lovely and romantic night getaway.

Loved the cabin! Beautiful location and very quiet area. A bit of a drive into town but not too bad getting to everywhere we planned. Would love to stay again!
