Well designed cabin and nearly new!
This is the perfect spot for three adult couples to gather. This cabin has a smart design and many spots to eat and sit and play. It was a bit of a challenge to drive the final quarter of a mile but we made it in our rented minivan. We notified the lodge of the dish washer which wasn’t working early in the week. It took three calls and finally we got through. However, the technician was unable to repair. So we hand washed dishes. That was not the end of the world. The place was pristine as well as the hot tub. Mattresses were good. The pullout couch up stairs was excellent. I wish the mattress in the basement room was a queen (it’s hard for two tall people to sleep on a full mattress). All and all, we had a wonderful stay driving into Shenandoah National Park and hiking. I’d give this spot a 4.5. Finally, we had a rental car with a dead battery and after many calls to Enterprise and no uber or cab to be found, the owner, Buck, drove my son in law to the Charlottesville airport to rent another! Wow!
