Property was wonderful. It was located outside of town, so was extremely peaceful. It was maintained great and we never found a moment where we were needing anything. Owners were responsive. Cell phone service was hit and miss, but thats exactly what we were looking for. Very unique property, and we had our best fishing days right in front of the cabin!

Property was nice and clean inside. Exterior of the property was in need of some general maintenance. Property manager assured me she would address this. Everything worked as expected. It’s advertised as 3 bedrooms and although it does have 3 separate sleeping areas one of the areas is not at all private and is actually a bed placed in a breakfast nook. The location is perfect. Over all I was happy with the stay and it was a nice experience.

Great location: Quiet and peaceful

This cabin was great for our family. We all loved being on the river. There were two elk that hung out near our cabin. The cleaning crew did not clean before our stay, at no fault of the host. When we notified the host, they were quick to respond and had it cleaned quickly for us. Great host and great stay!

All in all the stay was good. Minor things like coffee pot and dvd The bed in second bedroom is difficult for older folks to get in and out of. Loved being by river and it was close to Estes Park and RMNP. Appliances worked well Host responded to questions promptly.

Perfect location

It was a very nice cabin right on the river. Being unfamiliar with the area, I did think that the house was going to be more remote than it actually was, and you can’t really see the river while sitting inside the house. (Both of these things the owner obviously cannot control). We did have some elk come into the yard and saw an otter while playing in the river, which was awesome! Overall a nice house and convenient to Estes Park and RMNP.

Had a great time.

Had a wonderful time. Beds slept great. Living room furniture needs a deep cleaning for a more fresh smell. Had to purchase a new coffee maker. One in the cabin is not the one pictured in the listing. This place is located in a woody area, but could use an outdoor refreshing, lots of debris on porch. Bathrooms were very clean and smelled very clean upon arrival. Owners were great to work with.

Enjoyed our escape to Estes

We had an absolutely wonderful and cozy stay! Great communication. Great accommodations. Great location. The kitchen was stocked with all necessities for cooking. The views are great and the home rests in a very peaceful setting. I loved sitting on the deck (and next to the open windows in the LR) to hear the sounds of the water.

Love the sound of the rushing river!

The host was an excellent communicator, and even volunteered to connect us with a fishing guide. The multi-level property is built into a hill right above the Big Thompson River, and there are stairs down to the river where you can fish for rainbow and brown trout from their property. Well equipped and nicely furnished.

Nice house, no AC

Love the location and river access. The property itself is commensurate with the cost. Our kids enjoyed the property also. Everything was in working order. Only complaint would be that we booked bc the listing said Air Conditioning. There was no AC. That was our main reason for booking. And initially the host was very responsive but never did get replies back for our early check-in or AC question (upon arrival).

Meet Your Hosts: Danielle & Ben Witte
Hi, I’m Danielle Witte—my husband Ben and I are both proud Colorado natives. We grew up exploring the mountains, camping under the stars, skiing fresh powder, and hiking the scenic trails that make Colorado so special. Estes Park has always held a special place in our hearts. It’s where some of our favorite childhood memories were made—and now, as a family, it’s still our favorite place to reconnect.

We’re outdoor lovers through and through. For us, there’s nothing better than casting a fly in a quiet river, sharing stories around a campfire, or simply soaking in the slower pace of life that comes with being in the mountains. Estes Park offers all of that and more—it’s a place that helps you breathe deeper, sleep better, and feel more grounded.

This cabin is more than a vacation rental. It’s part of our story. We designed and built it with love and intention, hoping it would be a space where other families, couples, and friends could create lasting memories—just like we have.

We’re truly honored to share this peaceful mountain sanctuary with our guests. Whether it’s your first trip to Estes Park or your fiftieth, we hope it feels like home—and leaves you feeling rested, reconnected, and inspired.

Welcome to the mountains. We’re so glad you’re here.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because it embodies everything we love about mountain living—peaceful surroundings, natural beauty that stops you in your tracks, and a slower, more intentional pace of life that feels rare in today’s fast-moving world.

For years, we traveled to the mountains with our family, always searching for that perfect place that felt like more than just a destination. We wanted somewhere that offered not only breathtaking views, but also a true sense of belonging. The first time we visited this area, we knew we’d found it. The sound of wind through the trees, the way sunlight dances across the peaks, and the quiet stillness that settles in—it all made us feel more grounded. We breathed deeper, laughed more, and connected in a way that reminded us what really matters.

What makes this neighborhood special isn’t just its location near scenic trails, alpine lakes, and mountain views—it’s the feeling you get when you’re here. Neighbors wave as they pass. Kids play outside instead of behind screens. Evenings are filled with stories, campfires, and starlit skies. It’s a place that invites connection and reminds us of simpler times.

This is the kind of place that brings people together. A place that helps you unplug, slow down, and enjoy the people around you. Whether you're here for outdoor adventure or quiet rest, this community welcomes you to do it all with heart.

We couldn’t imagine a better setting for making lasting memories—and we’re grateful to share it with guests like you.

What makes this property unique

What Makes Our Cabin Unique? The View—and the Feeling That Comes With It
What truly sets our Estes Park cabin apart is the view—and not just how beautiful it is, but how it makes you feel to be surrounded by it. Nestled directly along the Big Thompson River, the cabin offers a front-row seat to Colorado’s natural splendor in every season. Nearly every window frames a postcard-perfect scene: rushing water, towering pines, and snow-capped peaks in the distance.

In summer, the spacious deck becomes the heart of the home. With wildflowers in bloom and the river just steps away, it’s the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind with a glass of wine as the sun sets behind the mountains. You might catch hummingbirds at the feeders or hear elk bugling nearby—gentle reminders that you're in the heart of nature.

Come winter, the landscape transforms into a serene, snow-covered wonderland. Whether you're curled up by the fireplace or watching flakes drift past the Great Room’s tall windows, it feels like stepping into a living snow globe. There's a quiet stillness here that’s hard to put into words.

No matter the season, this home invites you to slow down and savor the moment. Spring brings rushing rivers and new green growth. Fall lights up the mountainsides with fiery golden aspens and crisp mountain air. Each season offers its own beauty—and each view, a reason to pause and take it all in.

This cabin isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to feel. A true mountain escape that invites connection, reflection, and a deeper appreciation for the world outside your door.
