The apartment worked great for a quick get away to see the beautiful surrounding area! It’s an old building, so it has character, but has plenty of space for two, the kitchen is useable and bed comfortable. Plus you can walk to Congress pizza, velo coffee and a handful of other places!
The property is in a good location with quite a few attractions within walking distance. The host was great with communication and was accommodating. Very nice overall stay. We would go back.
The apartment had the perfect amount of room to relax and the bed was really comfortable. The window unit air conditioner was plenty to cool off the entire place during the day. The kitchen was spacious and had every amenity I needed. I look forward to my next stay!!
We enjoyed our time at this VRBO, it was just big enough for the two of us to relax while accomplishing a few things we needed to get done. Its proximity to Marquette made it easy enough to get anything we needed without having to go super far.
The VRBO was absolutely amazing!!! It had everything we needed for our stay! Our host, was incredibly easy to work with and provided us with some local attractions for us to check out. The VRBO was centrally located and travel to and from the different places was easy in and out. There is a great breakfast place even right down the street from the apartment!! Thank you again Specer for an amazing place to stay for our first time inthe U.P. !!!
We had a great stay. Everything was exactly as described and even better in person. The space was spotless and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Communication with the host was seamless. The location was perfect for what we needed. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-appointed home base in the greater Marquette area.
Apartment was perfect for our quick weekend trip up to the Marquette region. Nice having a local bike shop, coffee shop, and pizza just around the corner. Property Manager even put a couple bike stands in the apartment for us, which was great!
Spencer made the whole experience very easy. Communication was clear and checking in was very simple. The apartment had easy parking and was in a nice area.
The apartment had everything we needed for our stay from coffee to plenty of extra towels! If you are planning on visiting the region to explore all their hiking trails, this is a great location to stay and just 25 min away from Marquette.
Make sure to visit Velodrome, they have awesome coffee and great waffles and sandwiches!
Lovely space. Clean & well stocked with the basics. It's an upper unit that would be a challenge for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. It is also in a rather tired/abandoned section of town. Several empty buildings typical of some of our towns in the U.P. There is an IGA in walking distance and also, the lovely Carnegie Library. I appreciated the efficient air conditioning and comfortable bed. Very quiet neighborhood. Easy parking.
I traveled to the U.P for work purposes, so I wasn’t able to check out all the beautiful things. However, my stay was fantastic. The apartment was so homey and cozy. And most importantly , very clean. It was the perfect spot in the middle of everything I needed. The many windows were my favorite. The perfect breeze came through. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay

About the host

I'm the owner of West End Ski & Trail, a bike and trail sports shop in Ishpeming. Our shop's first location was the front unit at this property! I'm enthusiastic about trails and introducing people to this awesome community. We can offer rentals for bikes, as well as guided mountain bike tours.
Why they chose this property
Downtown Ishpeming is a great hub for outside activity! We are close to the RAMBA trail network, which has 80 miles of singletrack for mountain biking, hiking, and trail running. In the winter, the trails are groomed for fat biking and snowshoeing. Snowmobile trails go through town, and for cross-country skiing, the UP Nordic Ski Complex and Al Quaal is a couple minute drive away.
Ishpeming is only a 15 minute drive from Marquette, where you'll find even more trails and opportunity for outdoor activities year-round. The Iron Ore Heritage Rail Trail connects the two communities.
What makes this property unique
Our property is located right in downtown Ishpeming, one block off Main St. We are an amazing homebase for all of your adventures. Don't want to drive? We are walking distance from Velodrome Coffee Company, Rare Earth Goods Cafe, Congress Pizza, Buck's Restaurant, and Ish Creamery. Also nearby are a number of antique shops, a pharmacy, grocery store, etc. It's also short walk to the Cliffs Shaft mine museum (open seasonally).
