Beautiful freshly updated and decorated. Perfectly equipped with everything we could need. The outdoor shower was spa worthy outdoor spaces including rooftop deck were lovely. Beds very comfortable, all kitchen amenities new and in top working order. Communications were excellent and easy. Highly recommend, we will be back. 10/10 !

We had a wonderful stay at Roger and Mary’s cottage! Everything in the house felt brand new and was kept in immaculate cleanliness. The open kitchen and living room layout made the space feel incredibly bright and spacious. We also loved the thoughtful details, like the heated bathroom floors and the fact that we didn't have to pack our own towels or bed linens—it made traveling so much easier! Our family had an amazing stay at the Coastal Cottage! Roger and Mary are wonderful hosts. The house is clean, comfortable, tastefully furnished, and stocked with everything you need, right down to a thoughtfully placed extra pair of reading glasses in the kitchen.The location is great. It's a short walk to the beach, an easy bike ride into town, and on the quieter end of the island, which made for a relaxing stay.Roger and Mary made us feel like welcomed house guests. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the Coastal Cottage.

Just finished our wonderful stay at Roger and Mary’s perfect beach cottage! My family had an absolutely amazing time. This rental is perfect. The hosts thought of everything. The cottage is spotlessly clean, the renovations are so nice, and the bedrooms are so comfortable. We all had great sleep. The outdoor lanai and rooftop sitting area cannot be beat! Not to mention the location to the beach and restaurants of Stone Harbor. No complaints at all, just can’t wait to return! The hosts were so kind and communication was excellent. 10/10! P.s. if you are an avid coffee drinker, bring a French press! Otherwise there is a very useful k cup machine which worked great, too! Thank you Roger and Mary!!

Roger and Mary host a beautiful property and have thought of everything to make your holiday stay amazing! Everything is pristine with great amenities and attention to modern details. Roger personally checked in with us when we arrived and was available and easy to text, if we needed anything, and even included interesting details of the area.The cottage is located on a quaint, quiet historic street just a short walk to the beach- pass by a gorgeous giant old pine tree at the east end of the block on Second Avenue.Use one of the included bikes to tour the neighborhood, ride to the bay, South Point or 96th Street to shop. There's even a small market just around the corner. Chairs and a big umbrella are also provided for use on the soft sandy beach. Indulge in the wonderful outdoor shower, including a lovely soap dispenser, when you return. Then enjoy a beverage, some takeout and the interesting views of roof lines, tiny gardens and the old pine from the roof deck.We've been vacationing in SH for over 25 years and I've always wanted to stay in one of the quaint cottages. It was definitely worth the wait and we would love to return once again, to enjoy this wonderful beach escape!

Short last minute stay

My husband and I took a quick last minute trip to meet up with my parents in Stone Harbor. Was super surprised to find this gem last minute in July. This little cottage has everything you need, well stocked on all the little details, and very well kept.

This tiny little cottage is adorable and what a location! On a quiet little lane, and a very short stroll to the beach. It is very small, especially the miniature shower, but we considered it to be a good value for the money in bougie Stone Harbor. The queen sized bed was comfortable for two people and one other person could fit on the little fold out couch. Rodger was very responsive and helpful via text and he was quite proactive about making sure the air conditioner was adequate for a hot August weekend! Great host! Lovely porch for enjoying the evening breeze and watching the bunnies hop around.

Great cottage. Loved our stay there. Highly recommend it. Its small, but has everything you need. The owner is very responsive and good to talk to. The cottage is in good shape, considering that it's from 1915. Air conditioner worked well. The included linens were nice and happy to have that to avoid lugging sheets and towels to the house. The house has 2 beach chairs and a boogie board out back. There is a small loft, that is good for an adventurous kid. Use a fan to cool it off. There's a shower inside and outside. Looking forward to our next stay.
