The wine cellar awaits your intimate gatherings and the pizza oven your family meals. The olympic sized pool and multiple patio areas are surrounded in reclaimed stone - fountains bubble from 3 locations and outdoor amenities include a tennis court, a bocce court and a shaded ping pong table - all ensconced behind an electric gate within 5 fenced acres. Pinguini (portable air conditioning) are available for all bedrooms and windows are screened and shuttered. Heating is through radiant flooring and 4 wood-burning, 3 gas, fireplaces.
This estate is accessed from a private, gravel road nestled in a 700-acre agricultural valley and nature preserve. Walking trails and wildlife sightings are plentiful! Perfectly located between Florence & Siena and within walking distance to the hotel Castello del Nero, the home is but a short drive to restaurants, shops, the A1 and the many hill towns of Tuscany.
Notes for guests:
Our house manager will be onsite for a few hours every week day and will assist with any questions you may have regarding the property. Gardeners, pool maintenance or other staff also have access to the grounds. You will need a car in this region of Tuscany.

Why they chose this property
25 years ago this abandonded farmhouse was carved from a 700acre estate of agricultural land and nature preserve. The original tower dates from before the 16th century and the other structures were added throughout the years. It was a working farm in support of the Castello Del Nero property until the first half of the 1900's. Sitting on a hilltop in the heart of Tuscany, this house is removed from the bustle of life while still a short drive into Florence, Sienna and the many hill towns in the area.
What makes this property unique
This is a family estate and has never been rented to guests before. All buildings feel comfortable and upscale and are filled with European antiques and personal objects. Bedding consists of down duvets, linen sheets and crushed velvet blankets. The exterior gathering spaces are large and the secure, fenced 5-acre property is a quiet haven.
