We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable modern home. Large tvs, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, a jet tub we all enjoyed, clean spaces, plenty of amenities in the kitchen, family friendly backyard space, was all we needed for a fall break trip.

This home in Elgin is just LOVELY! It is beyond cozy and the beds are beyond comfy. It was the perfect place to visit for our son's boot camp graduation at Fort Sill, we had a fabulous few days' stay. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and was amazingly responsive and kind. The home is located in a quiet and very safe area, it's about a 15 minute drive from the base as well as from Lawton, it's nicely 'tucked' away from things which we loved. The outdoor area is also amazing, it is beautifully furnished for relaxing outdoors. We hope this same property is available again when we return for our son's AIT graduation, as soon as I have that date, I'm going to book this property!

Great Stay!

House was very clean. House was very comfortable and nicely appointed. The booming of the artillery training at Ft. Sill took some getting use to but once we realized what it was it was OK. Would stay here again.

Awesome set up in Elgin!

We had a great time experience with this VRBO, the property was actually even better in person than on the listing. Elgin is a smaller town in Oklahoma so we felt very fortunate to find a place like this there. The owner was very responsive to a couple of minor questions we had….

Excellent Host/Rental

We attended our son’s graduation from Fort Sill. Makenzee answered every question we had almost immediately. The home was spacious with comfortable couches to relax and watch tv. The yard is nice with a patio with a patio firepit we enjoyed. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked witt dishes. My son enjoyed the workout room. I highly recommend this host and home.

Amazing Family Friendly home!

This was such a perfect home that was located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood but was still just a short trip away from a larger city if needed! My kids, ages 5 and 7, absolutely loved the bunk beds and the outdoor play equipment plus there was a bigger playground just 45 seconds down the road! The home is also only 2-3 minutes away from a grocery store and multiple restaurants! Such a lovely home and with my frequent visits to Oklahoma I’m looking to make this the home I rent every time for me and my kids! Thank you so much.

Water Heater/Cleanliness

The sheets kept slipping off during the night, leaving me without them most nights, or I had to get up repeatedly to put them back on. The bedspreads were filthy, so I washed them before and after sleeping in the beds, especially since I got sick (though this was from my grandkids, not the bed). The shower was unusable if the dishwasher or washer was running because, according to the repairman, the water heater was half-filled with calcium. The price was high for the area, and I won’t be staying here again. We also lost power for almost an entire day, yet there was no offer to adjust the price for the water or power issues. On top of this, I received several messages from the host about paying the remainder of my bill, which I’ll be taking care of today.

Thank you for your feedback. First, regarding the water heater, I responded promptly when you messaged me and arranged for someone to fix it right away. Unfortunately, you were the first guest to experience this issue. It would have been addressed sooner if your communication would have been better. You didn’t respond to me. As for the power outage, it was a widespread issue in Elgin affecting the entire area due to a transponder failure. Unfortunately, this is beyond my control. In terms of your bill, I wanted to clarify that you changed your booking five times, and I did my best to accommodate each change. These changes impacted the availability and billing, and Vrbo automatically sends out reminders for any past-due payments. I reached out to you to explain that the charges were due as a result of the multiple booking adjustments. I understand how this might cause confusion, and I just wanted to make sure everything was clear. Regarding the sheets slipping off the bed, this is the first I’ve heard of that issue. During my own stay, there were no problems with the sheets. If this had been mentioned while you were here, I would have addressed it immediately. The bedspreads are cleaned after every stay, and the one you used was brand new. My cleaner also noted that your grandkids had drawn on the fireplace and our kitchen counters. I hope this explanation helps clarify things and I appreciate your understanding.
