This property is amazing. Far enough away to feel out of the city, close enough if you want to go do something. Perfect glamping location, I will absolutely be back.
We loved staying at The Hohnstead glamping cabins. The Blind cabin was very cute, the porch was great and opening up the side made it perfect. Our golden retriever really enjoyed his stay on the woods. The property is especially nice because of the hot tub and outdoor shower. I will definitely plan another trip here.
Alla and Garrett have made a perfect getaway for those who wish to enjoy the mountains and simple life just outside of Missoula. They are the most wonder hosts and have created something very special. It was an experience like no other! Definitely plan to visit again!
You guys have an amazing piece of land saturated with great energy and pure peace.Thank you for sharing that me, us. Thank you for being a part of my journey I’ll see you guys down the road
The Hohnstead is pure magic! The property is beautiful with great views, fresh air, and a perfect balance of thoughtful convenience mixed with mountain peace. Our cabin was really comfortable and we loved falling asleep with the stars shining brightly above us and waking up to the sound of all the birds singing their morning songs. The hosts are amazing. They share their passion for where they live and what they do and effortlessly make you feel so welcome. I seriously can't find the right words to express how wonderful this place is. We were in the area for an event in Missoula and found it extremely easy to make the trip to and from town when needed and enjoyed the drive along the Blackfoot river to get there. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

About the host
Hosted by Alla Ponomareva and Garrett Hohn
We're Garrett and Alla Hohn and we're excited to host you at the Hohnstead, our self-built piece of Montana haven. All 5 of our cabins are self built, unique and off-the-grid, helping you to reconnect to Nature and to each other. We love working out, traveling abroad, brewing (beer for Garrett, Kombucha for Alla), gardening, and anything that supports an eco-friendly, simple living lifestyle. If this is your vibe, we wanna be friends :)
What makes this property unique
We went from bare land in 2010 to working on it 2 months at a time (on our vacations from our jobs abroad). In 2022, we were finally able to quit our jobs, and made The Hohnstead Glamping Cabins Resort our full time seasonal job. Proudest part - we only paid out for a concrete slab in the Commons Area, but everything else on this property was built with our own two hands.
