Welcome to our family-friendly retreat in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Region!
Our spacious 3BR/2BA home is the perfect retreat for families with young children. Forget packing extra gear – we provide everything from a stroller to a crib and even a baby gate. Your little ones will be entertained with our toddler toys and books.
For the wine-loving parents, indulge in the nearby wineries. Outdoor enthusiasts will love exploring the natural beauty of the area. And yes, we're dog-friendly!
** Please note that our home is simpler and more dated than most of the available listings. Because of this we did our best to have it reflected in the nightly rate. We hope you book with us but before doing please re-review the photos to ensure you’re satisfied with the house as is. Lastly, the master bathroom jacuzzi isn’t working, hence why we don’t have it listed as an amenity. Thank you. **

Super quiet, very clean, amazing selection of board games and TV programs. Kitchen is well equipped and everything is in working order. Beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. Easy access to Ithaca, Cornell campus, nearby parks.
Property is great to hang out with family. Conveniently located to access all nearby attractions. host is great to interact with.
It would have been awesome if washer and dryer were part of the stay but no biggie. You just need to be careful when accessing the property in night as there are less lights on road. Rely on gps

Adequate for the two of us
Location is close to everything and the property has most amenities including a nice kitchen and two bathrooms. Smells like cigarette smoke everywhere inside, Low shower pressure, and the hot tub is not useable. Has a dog bed and kids playpen/toys. Bring extra towels, they will charge you if you ask for extras. Overall pleased with our stay but could have been better if they burned a candle to cover the cigarette smell and put better shower heads on for better shower water pressure.

Thank you for the feedback. We’re non smokers but I’m wondering if the previous guest smoked inside the house (not allowed), which is why it smelled. I already spoke to my cleaning lady about informing us when this happens in the future plus ways to remove the smell before the next guest arrives. Thanks again for staying with us.

Basic Clean Lodging
The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was overall pretty clean. We liked that it was pet friendly but note that dogs are not allowed on the couch or you will have a $100 fee. The host provided a pet bed and we brought our own as well. We were really bothered by how tall the grass and weeds were, did not match the photo at all. Looked like it hadn't been mowed in weeks, some weeds were taller than my knees so it made it very difficult to walk the dogs around the property for potty breaks.
Overall, It's a great location if you are looking to stay just outside of downtown Ithica and the wine trail. If you go to the farmers market, get there just before they open for easy parking!

Hi Kristen - Thanks for your review. The grass was very overgrown. Our lawn guy was out for a couple of weeks due to an emergency and in that time the grass grew like crazy. It has finally been mowed. Sorry for that! Glad you enjoyed your stay.

I dislike writing this review
The host was very nice, which makes it really hard to write this review. This house needs a lot of work. When we arrived we found a board pulled up on the deck and a fastener (sharp) next to the door. Upon opening the storm door it did not have a keeper and we had a hard time latching it. The hot tub is acctually a jacuzzi tub in the master suite. The plumbing has no pressure and does not drain quickly from shower stalls and sinks. The water smells very iron rich, we bought bottled water to be safe. There are no thresholds between rooms leaving sharp edges on the floor at the doorways and the grout is coming out in the master suite. The floor is spongy in the kitchen and bathroom. The whole house smells like stale cigarette smoke.
hing it. was

Hi. I’m sorry you had such a bad stay!
We acknowledge that our home is outdated compared to other houses nearby but we did our best to ensure our nightly rate reflected that. We’re one of the cheapest houses in the Ithaca area. Our property uses well water so every few months we need to add salt pebbles to the water to help with the natural odor but it’s all very clean water. We’ve since added the pebbles.
As for the flooring, I’m not sure what you experienced but we have our 2 yr old who runs around the house barefoot all the time and has yet to hurt herself so I think this might be an isolated situation. Again, really sorry for your bad experience. All the best.
