Winter Texans

We spent 6 weeks at the Salt and Sea Cottage and enjoyed every day. We have stayed at many rentals in our travels and would rate this home in the top 3. The kitchen was well stocked; the neighborhood was quiet; excellent location to the beach and downtown Rockport. Since it is located in the historic district, it was a joy to walk around to view the beautiful older and well preserved homes. Kelly was punctual in her communication and helpful with any questions we had. Every room was very clean. We look forward to staying here again.

Great house

Everything was great. No big issues, but a couple of suggestions. The hot water was only warm and I would suggest toiletries (mainly soap for shower and hand sinks). I would definitely recommend and return.

Girls getaway

Just a perfect location in old Rockport. Close to the water, shops, and groceries. Plenty of parking for all four vehicles in the driveway. We had a problem with one of the toilets and one call to the host had it fixed by the time we were home from the grocery store. It was a great house for visiting with old friends of 70 years. A couple of comments: It really should be listed as a 2 and 1/2 bath house, a box of tissues in the bathrooms would be appreciated as would two ply toilet paper. These are small things that would make guests more comfortable.The host even offered to let us check in an hour early, which was really nice since we arrived sooner than expected. We would stay here again. The air conditioner kept us very comfortable the whole time even with the warm weather. The people here were very nice.One of the shop owners hand delivered an item to our house that I had purchased but was not ready by 3pm on a Sunday evening.

Great Host and House, A/C didn't cooperate

Unfortunately the AC gave out the night we arrived. As a Texan I've been to the coast many times over my life, and have had the AC go out where I was staying a half dozen times. The salt air just does havoc on AC systems. The host sent out an AC technician quickly while we headed out to dinner. However, the technician mis-diagnosed the problem. We got back to the house a little late in the evening and the house was warm. The host offered us another (even more luxurious) place to stay, but it was further away, and we had an early morning guided fishing trip planned. We ended up staying with friends and the host issued a refund.
