Lake front escape - a quiet lake front cottage with easy access to the beach

This cottage is an excellent place to escape the hustle and bustle for a quiet weekend away. The surrounding area has plenty to entertain you including wineries, golf courses, cycle trail and not forgetting the beach and lake just a stones throw away.

The cottage is well-equipped 3 bedroom with 2 bathrooms, a sun room and a spacious garden overlooking Lake Erie. There is easy access to the main beach just 1 min walk away.

The downstairs of the cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge, bathroom and a spacious and light sunroom. Upstairs there is a master bedroom overlooking the lake and two other double bedrooms, and a second bathroom. All bedrooms have queen beds and ceiling fans. In addition to the 3 queen beds, the down stairs sofa pulls out to make a double bed.

The spacious garden gives you uninterrupted views of the lake.

House was clean and well equipped. Plenty of room. Good times around the fire and just sitting and looking out at the lake. Beach is about one minute walk and there is a nice park there if you have kids. Loved having my morning coffee sitting outside listening to the waves.

It has a nice beach view nice back yard. Some equipment wasn't super clean the room smaller than we expected everything else not super clean we think we paid more than it's deserves. The house needs updated doors nope all don't work properly. Spiders web in every corner.

I have addressed your comments below: The rooms are clearly shown in the photographs provided in the listing, including the furniture, so the size of each room should not have come as a surprise. The cost of the house was less than $85 per person per night, which we believe represents excellent value for the accommodation provided. The house is consistently rated highly for cleanliness, so I was surprised by your comments regarding this. Had you contacted us during your stay, we would have been happy to address and rectify any issues immediately. The house is nearly 80 years old and retains many of its original features, including the interior doors. All doors are fully functional and open and close as intended. In terms of updates, the kitchen was completely replaced just two weeks before your stay, and the upstairs bathroom was renovated over the winter. We always strive to provide an accurate representation of the property and a positive experience for our guests. We appreciate your feedback and will take your comments into consideration.

Beach Getaway

We had super hot weather during our stay so the AC was very appreciated! All beds were very comfy, lots of space both inside and outside the cottage. The cottage had everything we needed. Amazing views and right next to the public beach!

Great retreat on the lake

Great location! House is great!

House is clean, modern and well kept. Right next to beach which is very convenient. Coming in June was not prepared for the may flies. They do not bite but are annoying. BBQ in excellent shape. Hosts were great with communication. Rooms are great especially the master bedroom.

Picturesque, great for long weekends

We visited with family friends. Enjoyed the BBQ and the fire pit very much. The cottage has everything a group would need during a long weekend. There's a nearby playground as well for little guests. Be careful as the hot water in the shower was tricky for the teenagers with us. I showered easily. Monique was very quick to help with our BBQ questions. It was a very pleasant stay overall.

Monique's cottage is a very cute home with AMAZING views of the lake. It can't get better. It's exactly as per the listing. The sun room facing the lake was our favorite spot, besides the fire pit outside. The main bedroom overlooks the lake too. The home has all the amenities, one can ask for and its kept clean. The property is right next to the beach too. Had a chilled out time in the cottage. Communication with Monique was very prompt too!

Girls Getaway Weekend

This was the second time (3rd for one of us) staying at this property. The house offered a lot of space for everyone to relax and spread out. The proximity to wineries, stores and good food was perfect. The view from the back yard was beautiful. It was a wonderful weekend. Thank you!
