Waterfront Home and Walk to Leland

Charming Leland cottage with new all stainless appliances and gas stove and new hardwood floors in the main living area. It is an easy walk to anywhere in Leland: town, shops, restaurants, grocery store, and Fishtown. Day trips include hiking to Pyramid Point and its spectacular views, canoe and rafting trips, fishing trips on Lake Michigan, and winery tours around Leelanau county.
Home sits on almost two acres and features large living room with fireplace, dining room, 2 bedrooms with shared bathroom, 2 bedrooms each with private bathroom, 2 outside patios, and additional half bath. Master bedroom is upstairs and has its own balcony to enjoy beautiful views over the lake. Newer couches and bedroom linens are from Pottery Barn.
Enjoy your own dock plus two kayaks and a stand up paddleboard. Just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet but still be walkable to town and all Leland has to offer!

Susan’s home is a lovely older cottage with a stunning backyard and lake views and a perfect location. Check in was super easy and the home is just as pictured. My sister and I and our families fit comfortably with the four bedrooms and three bathrooms. We enjoyed swimming and lounging around the dock during the day and gathering around the fire pit and eating smores at night. Neighbors are very quiet so everyone slept well. We rented a boat for a day and were able to use the dock to load and unload all of the family members and supplies. Location is close enough to walk and bike into town. Leland is a charming town and we all loved staying in Susan’s home for the week.

Great older cottage with very nice on-the-lake property. Facilities suited us well, 4 adults. Comes with all you need including two kayaks we made good use of. Also used the nice dock out front for water lanching, selfs and kayaks. Plus, to dock a 20' pontoon we rented for 2 days. Made good use of the fire pit by splitting some of the firewood stored by the garage.And, all but the day or two of rain, spent many a pleasant hour seated outside taking in the serenityand lake view and its environment. Day and night. The somewhat cooler than normal weather may have had something to do with it, but whatever, it was surprisingly quiet for being on an active lake and, thus, even more relaxing. Lake Leelanau is a fantastic lake.Susan, the owner, was very responsive and in quick contact to answer any questions.I'd recommend the property to anyone.

Leland Perfection

Susan's house was exactly what we were looking for in a family vacation. The house was perfectly located, set up in a very friendly and clean manner and had all the extra special elements to make for a very memorable trip. I would highly recommend her home to anyone and she was super helpful and communicative through the whole process.

Yellow is my favorite color

This property is as good as it gets. Wonderful home with outstanding views of North Lake Leelanau. Plants everywhere and a beautiful lawn watered daily. They call it Yellow House and yellow is my favorite color! Susan is wonderfully accommodating.

Lovely property

This is a wonderful home! We ranged in age from 9 to 70 and everyone was comfortable and enjoyed the stay. The kitchen was well supplied and the outdoors was set up wonderfully, we only went inside to sleep.

Beautiful house on the lake

This adorable yellow house exceeded our expectations! The interior is clean and updated. The layout worked perfectly for our family and there are plenty of bathrooms! But the real draw is the location and proximity to the lake. The backyard is beautiful. We loved the firepit and spent every night listening to the water while enjoying a fire. The lake is just steps away and we spent a lot of time jumping off the dock into the clear water. Susan is fabulous. She was a very attentive host and kept in close communication when we needed her. My daughter still talks about her fun time "in the yellow house" so we know it was a success!

The Yellow House Experience

We had a perfect vacation at this property. The location was walking distance to town, the private dock was just as nice as in the photos and the fire pit area was a wonderful spot for relaxing. Susan was a five star host and was really available for any issues or concerns. Definitely recommend this VRBO rental. My family and I are already wanting to go back! 5 stars, Susan thanks again!

This property is unique in that it is in town yet offers the peace and quiet not found in other in town properties. With 154 ft of frontage on the lake and almost 2 acres, you will feel like you have escaped to the country. Just a short walk and you are right in the heart of restaurants and shopping!
