We very much enjoyed this property. It had the needed space, everything one would need in the kitchen, sufficient bathroom facilities, and comfortable furniture. A peaceful setting and wonderful countryside.

We enjoyed our stay

This place is clean, convenient to the highway and attractions in nearby Bern, and has excellent sunset views (we were there in May). Parking is easy and there is a bus stop directly across the street. We even found an outstanding Italian restaurant for dinner and a nice bakery for breakfast within walking distance.Conversely, the beds are just ok. A little soft and low for our tastes and the AC could not be adjusted. We found it warm at night.

Hello, Jay! Thanks for the positive feedback! We do not have air-conditioning nor is it mentioned in our listing. Summers in Switzerland are quite cool and A/C is not common. Our residence is built according to high energy efficiency standards. It is very well insulated and we have an automatic ventilation system that cools the incoming air in the summer and warms it up in the winter. If you open the windows and cool the apartment during the night, keep the windows shuttered during the day, and use the slatted blinds to keep direct sunlight out, then you enjoy a comfortable, cool temperature for free. I hope that this information is helpful. By the way, this advice is included in our guest instructions. Beds and mattresses are a very personal thing. We have standard mettresses. Best regards, Fatah

Switzerland

Too many restrictions from the host. Don’t open windows if you’re hot, don’t lower house temp if you’re hot. Don’t wear shoes in the house, don’t eat outside the kitchen, take the used sheets off the bed and bring it to laundry room before you leave. If you have too much garbage buy a sticker and pay for its removal etc.. ridiculous!!!!

Chris and Elsa forced and broke the bath water mixer, then informed me that there was no cold water in the bathtub, instead of telling the exact story. They charged their electric car, most probably several times during their stay (at a cost of at least CHF 30/charge), without asking for permission or informing us. And when the cleaning lady saw their car being charged, when she came to do housekeeping, on the day of their departure, they refused to apologize or pay, and their reply was both aggressive and unacceptable. We feel that they didn’t behave fairly with us - neither did they in their review.
