Pet friendly, studio in Countryside by Harvey and Rifle Gap, farm fresh eggs

Our home is situated on 13 acres, 20 mins to both Harvey and Rifle Gap but just 5 minutes to Rifle and I70, gradually transforming to a sustainable ranch you get to enjoy farm fresh eggs and seasonal produce from our grounds that are included in the rental. We offer a full menu of additional items produced from our ranch for purchase or to take with you.
Full size stocked kitchen and bathroom compliments this comfortable country studio apartment. Bed can be a king OR 2 twins for versatility for our guests as well as a queen size sofa bed, perfect for a small family or 3 adults. This is an open space studio, the only door/closed space is the bathroom. Unit offers blinds in all windows to give full privacy. Enjoy the outdoor patio, complete with BBQ, a pond view and garden are all part of the experience. Dog, cats, goats, chicken, geese, turkeys, pigs and cows all call this place home with our 4 children.
The apartment was the original garage turned into a mother in law suite by the previous owners. We currently remodeled to give a fresh modern feel and all the amenities to make it comfortable for guests. You have complete and sole access to the apartment. It is not a shared space, it’s equipped with all the items you need to cook meals, eat and relax.
A limited stock of supplies is provided for your stay; shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, paper towels, aluminum foil, ziplock bags, sugar, coffee, coffee filters, olive oil, and vinegar.
In our shop we run a construction business but have also created a relaxed hang out that includes pool table, foosball, ping pong, hot shot basketball, futon and TV.
You are welcomed in our home, please just let us know when you would like to use any other areas; the pond, the recreation room or walk the grounds. We just want to assure your safety and that of our children with the animals.
This rural home is in the CO mtns and we share the space with many animals, we ask you are aware of leaving doors/windows open to assure those smaller critters do not make their way in. Keeping your area tidy with food both inside and out will help mitigate them also.

Our stay was a very positive experience and I highly recommend it. We had access to more than enough amenities, and the host was very responsive. It was a joy interacting with the different farm animals.

Beautiful and Cozy

The property is beautiful and easy to find, as long as you read the instructions. The property owner was so nice and friendly. She was also very quick to respond to any of our questions. We were able to see some farm animals, and the host even let us see their new puppies. The unit is very well stocked, and the host even included some fresh eggs. It is about a 30 minute drive to Glenwood Springs but we didn't mind because the drive was very beautiful. The check-in and check out process was incredibly easy.

My background professionally is serving the Aspen clientele for over 20 yrs and have refocused my life to work where I live to manage our small homestead and children. I love being a host, it gives me the opportunity to use my skills while raising my family.

Why they chose this property

We are in the country but still close to I70 and Rifle for convenience. We have animals on our farm, birds constantly chirping and fresh air. Our grounds are constantly a work in progress but the pond and orchard/garden of one of the spots we visit daily.

What makes this property unique

We want to share our sustainable homestead with others, it is a lifestyle that many do not get to experience. We have animals and produce that you can walk and see but we also have many products that we turn those animals into and available to our guests. From jelly to salsa to bacon. We like to show guests all it encompasses while providing a beautiful and comfortable place to stay.
